• • 149 Contractor's Proposal 150 "Contractor's Proposal" means the proposal submitted by Contractor and received by March 11, 151 2008 by the SBWMA in response to the November 1, 2007 SBWMA Request for Proposals for 152 Collection Services, and certain supplemental written materials. 153 County 154 "County" means the County of San Mateo. 155 Curbside 156 "Curbside" means the location for Collection, where Collection Containers or loose materials are 157 placed on the street or alley against the face of the curb, or, where no curb exists, placed not 158 more than five (5) feet from the outside edge of the street or alley. 159 Customer 160 "Customer" means the Person to whom Contractor (or Agency if Agency bills directly) submits 161 billing invoices for Collection services provided to a Premises. The Customer may be the 162 Occupant or Owner of the Premises provided that the Owner of the Premises shall be 163 responsible for payment of Collection services if an Occupant of the Premises fails to make 164 such payment. 165 Day 166 "Day" means calendar day unless otherwise specified. 167 Designated Transfer and Processing Facility 168 "Designated Transfer and Processing Facility" means the Shoreway Recycling and Disposal 169 Center or "SRDC" at 225 and 333 Shoreway Road, San Carlos, California, which is owned by 170 SBWMA. 171 Designated Waste 172 "Designated Waste" means non - Hazardous Waste which may pose special Disposal problems 173 because of its potential to contaminate the environment and which may be disposed of only in 174 Class 11 Disposal Sites or Class III Disposal Sites pursuant to a variance issued by the California 175 Department of Health Services. Designated Waste consists of those substances classified as 176 Designated Waste in California Code of Regulations Title 23, Section 2522. 177 Discarded Material 178 "Discarded Material" means Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials 179 placed by a Generator in a Container and /or at a location that is designated for Collection 180 pursuant to the Agency's Municipal Code. Discarded Material shall become the property of 181 Contractor pursuant to California Public Resources Code Section 41950 until delivery to the 182 Designated Transfer and Processing Facility. 183 Disposal 184 "Disposal" means the ultimate disposition of Solid Waste Collected by Contractor at a Disposal 185 Site.
