In such case, Contractor shall Collect Carts from and <br /> 262 return Carts to the alternative service location (such as the side yard or backyard) <br /> 263 specified by the Customer. <br /> 264 The Contractor shall make reasonable accommodations with regard to provision <br /> 265 and servicing of Containers (e.g., Container size and type, placement of Containers <br /> 266 for Collection, etc.) at no additional cost to Customers who meet the Agency's <br /> 267 Special Handling criteria. Contractor will notify all Residential Customers annually <br /> 268 of the Special Handling and Backyard Collection Service options and submit, for <br /> 269 approval, a draft notification to Agency thirty (30) days prior to anticipated <br /> 270 distribution to Customers. New service recipients shall be notified upon signing up <br /> 271 for service of the Special Handling and Backyard Collection Service options. <br /> 272 Customers desiring Special Handling Service will be required to submit an <br /> 273 application, in a form approved by Agency. Contractor shall review applications to <br /> 274 determine whether the Customer meets Agency's eligibility criteria and shall provide <br /> 275 a written response within five (5) Business Days after receipt of the application. <br /> 276 Unless otherwise directed by Agency, Customers are eligible if they provide (i) <br /> 277 evidence of their "handicap status" by the California Department of Motor Vehicles <br /> 278 or (ii) evidence that no Occupant of the Residential Premises is physically able to <br /> 279 place Carts Curbside for Collection. <br /> 280 B. Multi- Family Dwellings. Contractor shall Collect Solid Waste from Multi - Family <br /> 281 Dwellings as frequently as scheduled by Customer, but not less than once per <br /> 282 week. Contractor shall provide unscheduled Collection service within one (1) <br /> 283 Business Day of Customer's request and shall be entitled to bill Customer as <br /> 284 specified in Attachment Q. Customers must subscribe to a minimum service level <br /> 285 of three (3) times per week Collection in order to be eligible for Collection on <br /> 286 Saturday and /or Sunday. Contractor shall allow Multi - Family Dwelling Customers to <br /> 287 use Carts or Bins for Solid Waste Collection that are shared by the Occupants of <br /> 288 the Premises. Contractor shall provide one (1) or more Cart(s) or Bin(s) to such <br /> 289 Customers as requested by Customer, provided that no less than ninety -six (96) <br /> 290 gallons of Container capacity are provided for every five (5) dwelling units in the <br /> 291 Multi- Family Residential Complex. Contractor shall provide each Customer with a <br /> 292 choice of one or more Carts or Bins as specified in Attachment D. <br /> 293 Contractor shall service, at no additional cost, Containers provided to MFD <br /> 294 Customers that are three (3) cubic yards or less in capacity or wheeled Containers, <br /> 295 that are stored in enclosures or on private or public property within fifty (50) feet of <br /> 296 access by Contractor's collection vehicle, if access to the Containers is paved and <br /> 297 the slope is less than seven percent (7 %). Agency will make the final determination <br /> 298 on the slope of the access if a dispute arises between Customer and Contractor. <br /> 299 Contractor shall be entitled to bill MFD Customers for distance charges as specified <br /> 300 in Attachment Q for providing Collection service to Containers that are three (3) <br /> 301 cubic yards or less in capacity or wheeled Containers, that are located at distances <br /> 302 of fifty one (51) feet or more from access by Contractor's collection vehicle. <br /> 303 Contractor shall service, at no additional cost, Containers that are four (4) cubic <br /> 304 yards or larger in capacity, or do not have wheels, that are stored in a location that <br /> 305 is accessible by Contractor's collection vehicle.
