• • <br /> 352 provide each Customer with a choice of one (1) or more Carts or Bins as <br /> 353 specified in Section 8.05. <br /> 354 3. Drop Boxes and Compactors. Contractor shall allow a Customer to use a Drop <br /> 355 Box or Compactor for Solid Waste Collection to meet the Customer's Disposal <br /> 356 needs. In such case, Contractor shall provide Customer with a choice of <br /> 357 Container capacities ranging from three (3) to forty (40) cubic yards (or similar <br /> 358 sizes). Contractor shall offer Customers the option to purchase or lease <br /> 359 Compactors through either the Contractor or an outside vendor. Regular <br /> 360 maintenance of Compactors shall be provided by Contractor (or outside <br /> 361 vendor) as frequently as needed to keep the Compactors in good working order <br /> 362 and functioning at high compaction levels. <br /> 363 D. Agency Facilities. Contractor shall Collect Solid Waste from Agency Facilities as <br /> 364 frequently as scheduled by the Agency, but not less than once per week. Agency <br /> 365 must subscribe to a minimum service level of three (3) times per week Collection in <br /> 366 order to be eligible for Collection on Saturday and /or Sunday. Specifically, the <br /> 367 Contractor shall offer the following Collection service methodologies to Agency <br /> 368 Facilities: <br /> 369 1. Individual Cart or Bin Service. Contractor shall allow each Agency Facility to <br /> 370 use Carts, Bins, Compactors, or Drop Boxes for Solid Waste Collection. <br /> 371 Contractor shall provide each Agency Facility with a choice of one (1) or more <br /> 372 Containers as specified in Attachment D. <br /> 373 2. Centralized Cart or Bin Service. Contractor shall allow each Agency Facility to <br /> 374 use Carts or Bins for Solid Waste Collection that are shared by the Occupants <br /> 375 of two or more adjacent Agency Facilities. In such case, Contractor shall <br /> 376 provide one or more Carts or Bins as requested by the Agency provided that no <br /> 377 less than ninety -six (96) gallons of Container capacity is provided for every four <br /> 378 (4) Agency Facilities. Contractor shall provide Agency with a choice of one (1) <br /> 379 or more Carts or Bins as specified in Attachment D for each Agency Facility. <br /> 380 3. Drop Boxes and Compactors. Contractor shall allow Agency to use a Drop Box <br /> 381 or Compactor for Solid Waste Collection to meet the Agency's Disposal needs. <br /> 382 In such case, Contractor shall provide Agency with a choice of Container <br /> 383 capacities ranging from three (3) to forty (40) cubic yards (or similar sizes). <br /> 384 Contractor shall offer Agency the option to purchase or lease Compactors <br /> 385 through either the Contractor or an outside vendor. Regular maintenance of <br /> 386 Compactors shall be provided by Contractor (or outside vendor) as frequently <br /> 387 as needed to keep the Compactors in good working order and functioning at <br /> 388 high compaction levels. <br /> 389 4. Public Street, Parks and Parking Lot Litter and Recycling Receptacles. <br /> 390 Contractor shall Collect Solid Waste from public litter receptacles located on <br /> 391 streets and in parking Tots, and from public litter receptacles in parks that are <br /> 392 accessible for Curbside Collection. Contractor shall also Collect Solid Waste <br /> 393 from public Recycling receptacles in these locations, if the Recyclables have <br /> 394 been so Contaminated as to be unacceptable at the MRF as Recyclables. <br /> 395 Contractor shall also Collect Solid Waste that is contained in bags or boxes and <br /> 396 placed adjacent to public litter receptacles. These Collections will be made <br /> 397 between one (1) and seven (7) Days per week, as determined by Agency. <br /> 398 Contractor is responsible for notifying Agency if a public litter receptacle is <br /> 399 inoperable within twenty -four (24) hours of observing or being notified of the <br /> Franchise Agreement for Collection Services with Recology San Mateo County <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> ATTY /AGR/2010.014 <br /> 040510 Page 13 of 115 <br />
