• . <br /> 582 additional charge, and Contractor shall provide the level of service required by <br /> 583 Commercial Customers requesting Recyclable Materials Collection services. <br /> 584 The level of service Contractor shall provide includes: Single- Stream Targeted <br /> 585 Recyclable Materials Collection or Source Separated Collection of cardboard, <br /> 586 mixed paper, food and recyclable beverage containers, or other Targeted <br /> 587 Recyclable Materials in a manner that best suits the needs of the Commercial <br /> 588 Customer. <br /> 589 Contractor shall Collect Single -Steam Targeted Recyclable Materials or other <br /> 590 Source Separated Recyclable Materials Generated at Commercial Premises at <br /> 591 least once per week or more frequently, up to seven (7) times per week, as <br /> 592 scheduled by the Customer provided that the Generator has Source Separated <br /> 593 the Targeted Recyclable Materials from Solid Waste and placed the materials in <br /> 594 the appropriate Contractor - provided Container. Contractor shall Collect <br /> 595 Targeted Recyclable Materials at the designated location agreed upon by <br /> 596 Contractor and Customer. The designated Collection location, if disputed by <br /> 597 Customer or Contractor, shall be determined by the Agency. <br /> 598 2. Collection Containers. Contractor shall allow Commercial Customers to select a <br /> 599 Collection service method that best suits the needs of its Premises. Specifically, <br /> 600 the Contractor shall offer the following choices to Commercial Customers: <br /> 601 a. Cart service. Contractor shall allow Commercial Customers to use Carts <br /> 602 for Targeted Recyclable Materials Collection. Contractor shall provide each <br /> 603 Customer with a choice of one (1) or more Carts as specified in Section <br /> 604 8.05. <br /> 605 b. Bin service. Contractor shall allow Commercial Customers to use Bins for <br /> 606 Targeted Recyclable Materials Collection. Contractor shall provide each <br /> 607 Customer with a choice of one (1) or more Bins as specified in Section <br /> 608 8.05. <br /> 609 c. Shared Cart or Bin service. Contractor shall allow Commercial Customers <br /> 610 to use Carts or Bins for Targeted Recyclable Materials Collection that are <br /> 611 shared by the Occupants of two (2) or more Commercial Premises. In such <br /> 612 case, Contractor shall provide one (1) or more Carts or Bins to such <br /> 613 Premises as requested by Customer(s). In order to minimize the impact or <br /> 614 occurrence of illegal dumping and theft of Recyclable Materials, Contractor <br /> 615 will provide to Customer at no additional cost, locks for enclosures used to <br /> 616 store Containers or locks for Containers and ensure the enclosures or <br /> 617 Containers are locked after providing Collection Service. Only Contractor, <br /> 618 Agency, and the participating Customers will be provided with a key to the <br /> 619 enclosures and access to the Containers. The service schedule will be <br /> 620 prominently displayed on the enclosure and any changes in service will be <br /> 621 displayed on the enclosure by Contractor within one (1) Business Day of <br /> 622 making the change. If the Carts or Bins are left "outside" in a designated <br /> 623 area, each Container will be locked (keyed alike), and only Contractor staff, <br /> 624 Agency staff, and the participating Customers will be provided with a key to <br /> 625 access the Containers. At least once each calendar year, Contractor's route <br /> 626 supervisor will visit each of the participating Customers with shared <br /> 627 Containers, respond to any questions or concerns, check the areas for <br /> 628 contamination, litter, or damage and change the lock and distribute new <br /> 629 "keyed alike" keys to Agency staff and Customers. <br /> Franchise Agreement for Collection Services with Recology San Mateo County <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> ATTY /AGR/2010.014 <br /> 040510 Page 18 of 115 <br />
