� <br /> 6.3A ' <br /> Page 29 <br /> 1 Seif-haul materiais shipped from the Shoreway Center by the Contractor for disposal <br /> 2 or for any other use at a landfill shall not be considered diverted tons, unless the <br /> 3 Authority approves, in writing and in advance, a beneficial landfill use for diverted tons. <br /> 4 Loads rejected by an off-site processor because of contamination will not count <br /> 5 towards Self-haul Diversion and the Contractor shall pay all costs of managing <br /> 6 rejected loads. <br /> 7 D. Self-haul Diversion Report. Contractor shall provide the Authority a Self-haul <br /> 8 Diversion Report including the following information: the amount of Self-haul material <br /> 9 received, the weight all Self-haul materials processed on-site or transported to the <br /> 10 Designated Site, the method of materials processing, and the weight and disposition of <br /> 11 all materials Diverted. The Contractor shall provide the report monthly (no later than 15 <br /> 12 days after the end of each month) in a format to be approved by the Authority. <br /> 13 E. Optional Transfer Station Processinsa Svstem. On or before June 30, 2010, ' <br /> 14 Contractor shall submit to the Authority a proposal to install a materials processing <br /> 15 system in the Transfer Station. The system is to be capable of accepting and efficiently <br /> 16 processing Self-haul construction/demolition debris (wood, concrete, insulation, roofing, <br /> 17 metals, drywall, dirt and other inerts) and Organic Materials (including Plant Materials <br /> 18 and wood waste). The system shall be capable of operating at a cost per Ton <br /> 19 (including capital costs amortized as provided in Attachment 12) which is equal to or <br /> 20 less than the current total cost of transporting construction and demolition debris to the <br /> 21 existing off-site facility used by the Authority and the payment to the operator of that <br /> 22 facility for processing. The proposal shall include plans and specifications for the <br /> 23 equipment, cost forms showing estimates for design, equipment purchase, installation <br /> 24 and operation, and a detailed operational plan. <br /> 25 The Authority will carefully evaluate the proposal, but is under no obligation to approve <br /> 26 it nor arrange for or permit the installation of such a processing systems. <br /> 27 The Contractor is responsible for the cost of preparation and submission of the proposal <br /> 28 and will not receive any additional payment for it. <br /> 29 5.19 OTHER OPERATING PROCEDURES AND STANDARDS <br /> 30 Contractor shall conduct its operations in accordance with the requirements of the <br /> 31 Califomia lntegrated Waste Management Board in effect (as codified in Title 14 and Title 27 <br /> 32 of the California Code of Regulations) as of the Effective Date and as they may be changed <br /> 33 from time to time. <br /> Operating Agreement For Shoreway Center <br /> Page - 20 - 7/30/09 <br />
