MONITORING VERIFICA710N <br /> IDENTIFIED IMPACT RELATED MITIGATION MEASURE Impiementation Monitoring and Timing Signature Date <br /> PetFo�mance Criteria Entit Verification Entit Re uirements <br /> recommendations of the qualified <br /> archaeologist, in coordination with the <br /> Ciry Planning, Housing, and Economic <br /> Development Department and in <br /> accordance with CEQA Guidelines <br /> section 15126.4 (b)(3)(C), which <br /> requires impiementation of a data <br /> recovery plan. <br /> The data recovery plan shall include <br /> provisions for adequately recovering <br /> all scientifically consequential <br /> information from and about any <br /> discovered archaeological materials <br /> and include recommendations for the <br /> treatment of these resources. In- <br /> place preservation of the <br /> archaeological resource is lhe <br /> preferred manner of mitigating <br /> potential impacts, as il maintains ihe <br /> relationship between the resource and <br /> the archaeological context. In-place <br /> preservation also reduces the <br /> polential for conflicis with ihe reliyious <br /> or cultural values of groups <br /> associated with the resource. Oltier <br /> mitigation options include, but are not <br /> limited to, the full or partial removal <br /> and curation of the resource. <br /> The City Planning, Housing, and <br /> Economic Development Department <br /> shali confirm that the projeci <br /> applicant(s) have retained a qualified <br /> archaeologist for ihe preparation and <br /> implementation of the data recovery <br /> plan, which shall be conducted prior to <br /> any additional earth-moving activities <br /> in the area of the resource.
