MONITORING VERIFICATION
IDENTIFIED IMPACT RELATED MITIGATION MEASURE Implementation Monitoring and Timing Signature Date
Performance Critefla Entit Verification Entit Re uirements
pedestrian and bicycle travel and
reduction in the number of vehicle
miles traveled within and by residents
of the City. These policies and
programs, including Policies 29.5 and
29.6, and Programs BE-49, BE-50,
8E-51, BE-52 and BE-53, are known
as "Pedestrian Enhanced Design"
(PED) policies and programs and are
intended to promote alternative
modes of transportation by, among
other ihings, ensuring that the City's
DPP street network facilitates safe
and convenient pedestrian and bicycle
travei by slowing traffic and enhancing
pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
Ii is anticipated that, with
impiementation of these PED policies
and programs, motor vehicle traffic
flow wili be slowed and motor vehicle
traffic congestion may increase in the
DPP area. It is also recognized that
physical improvements to the City's
DPP circulation network which wauld
normally be implemented to mitigate
traffic impacts by increasing the
capacity of streets, improving traffic
flow, and reducing traffic congestion,
would conflict with these PED policies.
Implementation of this Mitiyation
Measure 9-11 could conflict with the
PED policies and could be considered
infeasible as a result of this policy
conflict. In that event, this would be
another basis by which this impact
would be deemed to be significant
and unavoidable.
Impact 9-12: Cumulative Impact on Mitigation 9-12.
