8.0 <br /> Exhi�� 68 <br /> specific parks and recreational facilities expansian needs can be identified in <br /> terms of size, staffing, equipment, and location, assessment of environmental <br /> impacts associated with the construction of new facilities would be <br /> speculative. This impact is therefore less than significant. <br /> Impact 8d. School Facilities Impacts. Anticipated build-out of the DPP <br /> area under the DPP could result in an increased demand for local public <br /> school services. However as a planning document, the DPP does not propose, <br /> approve or permit the construction of any actual, parcel-specific residential <br /> development projects, and does not propose, approve or permit the <br /> construction of any new school facilities. Until such projects are proposed, <br /> identification and assessment of the environmental impacts caused by school <br /> construction would be speculative. This impact is therefore less than <br /> significant. <br /> Impact 8e. Impacts on Solid Waste Service. Development allowed under <br /> the DPP could increase demand for solid waste collection and disposal <br /> services. The rate of demand (during demolition/construction and <br /> operation/occupancy} would be consistent with adopted land use plans, <br /> policies, and regulations and would not exceed the capacity of available <br /> landfills. Therefore, the impacts from adoption and implementation of the <br /> DPP on solid waste services would be less than significant. <br /> 9 Transportation and Circulation <br /> Impact 9a. Project Impacts on Freeway Ramp Operations. Increased <br /> traffic from new development contemplated by the DPP could affect the <br /> operation of freeway ramps on US 101. Analysis of ramp operations in the <br /> EIR demonstrates that all ramps would continue to have sufficient capacity <br /> and operate at an acceptable LOS. Therefore project impacts on freeway <br /> ramp operations would be less than significant. <br /> Irapact 9b. Project-Related Pedestrian and Bicycle Impacts. The DPP <br /> would promote pedestrian and bicycle use within the DPP area and the city by <br /> improving pedestrian and bicycle conditions, increasing pedestrian and <br /> bicycle safety, and creating a land use context supportive of pedestrians and <br /> bicycles. Therefore, the pedestrian and bicycle impacts of the DPP are <br /> considered less than significant. <br /> 10 Utilities and Infrastructure <br /> Impact 10a. Water Supply Impacts. The City's 2005 Urban Water <br /> Management Plan ("UWMP") concluded that the City would have adequate <br /> water supply under normal supply conditions to serve projected growrth <br /> through 2030 using a combination of SFPUC supply, recycled water supply, <br /> and water conservation programs.
