~C:djg-c 6/18/82

(d) Plant Life. Impacts upon plant life will be miti-
gated by requiring that all projects be designed so as
to save heritage trees, where possible, to encourage
native vegetation, and to restrict construction from
the banks of Redwood Creek.

(e) Animal Life. The impact on animal life within the
Seaport Centre area will be mitigated by restrictions on
garbage and trash disposal, planting of marsh vegetation
on new levees, and design and construction which consider
the improvement of wildlife habitat.

(f) Noise. The impact of noise will be mitigated by
requiring that all construction equipment as well as
construction design conform to the latest noise require-
ments.

(g) Transportation. Impacts on transportation will be
mitigated by channelizing and providing or improving
signalization as required by development, including the
prohibition of curb parking where necessary to assure
adequate lane capacity, and design and construction of
additional access to the Project Area. To mitigate trans-
portation impacts within the Seaport Centre area, Seaport
Boulevard will be improved and widened.

(h) Archaeological/Historical. Impacts will be mitigated
by considering historical significance of buildings to be
destroyed, and to investigate the area (specifically in
the original wharf areas of Redwood City) for old arti-
facts.

11

862
