T I C -9 <br />The following support services are requested: <br />Parks and Recreation: <br />Deliver available bleachers to Marshall Street between Hamilton and Winslow streets <br />prior to and pick up after the Parade. (Place on sidewalk in front of Law Library) <br />Open the gates at the Marshall Street parking structure and leave open after 6pm on July <br />3rd and restore to normal on July 6th. <br />Public Works: <br />1. Two street sweepers to be available at approximately 10:00 AM to pick up fresh horse <br />droppings along the Parade Route and the San Mateo County Jury Parking Lot at <br />Middlefield Rd. and Veterans Blvd after the horse trailers have left. They will also be <br />needed along the Festival area, approximately 7:00 PM after the Festival has closed on <br />Saturday July 5th. <br />2. Barricades for locations around the Festival Area need to be delivered on Thursday <br />July 3 no later than 5:00 PM. <br />3. Street barricades for the Parade Route will be determined by the Police Department <br />and the PCA. Parade Route barricades need to be in place before 7:00 AM Friday July 4. <br />Barricades are also needed at the two entrances to the County Jury Parking lot. These <br />need to be in place before 7:00 AM on Friday July 4 and remain in place until all <br />equestrian units and trailers have left the area. <br />4. Install American Flags along the Parade Route, immediately before the Parade. The <br />flags owned by the PCA Flags displayed in various places in downtown Redwood City <br />last year in conjunction with the County Board of Supervisors recognition of the <br />September 11 events. Some of these flags may have been removed or damaged. We <br />would like to have the City inventory the remaining flags and assist with obtaining <br />suitable replacements. On July 4 the flags are to be removed as soon as possible after <br />the Parade to reduce the possibility of theft, which does occur. <br />5. Use of a Fire Hydrant for Antique Fire Truck demonstration in the Festival Area on <br />Jefferson between Broadway and Marshall. following the Parade on July 4. <br />6. Use of parking structure on Marshall Street on Friday July 4 and use of Hamilton St. <br />parking lot along Winslow St. for Handicap and Vendor parking from 6:00 P.M. <br />Thursday July 3 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday July 5. <br />7. Install Red, White and Blue bunting on front of SMC Historical Museum prior to July <br />4 and remove. Hang street banner on cable across Broadway by June 4, 2003 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
