(n) Significant Effect on the Environment. The phrase <br />"significant effect on the environment" shall mean an <br />important or substantial result, either beneficial or <br />adverse, on the environment which may be caused by the <br />implementation of a project as proposed. <br />(o) Subdivision Regulations. The phrase "subdivision <br />regulations" shall mean the provisions of Chapter 30 <br />("Subdivisions") of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City, as the same now exists or may from time to time <br />be amended. <br />(p) Zoning Ordinance. The phrase "zoning ordinance" shall <br />mean the provisions of Ordinance No. 1130, the Redwood <br />City zoning-ordinance, as the same now exists or may <br />from time to time be amended. <br />3. GENERAL. (a) Scope Except as otherwise herein pro- <br />vided, the provisions of this resolution shall apply to discre- <br />tionary projects proposed to be carried out or approved by the <br />City. In connection with those projects defined in paragraph <br />2 (m) (3) above, the provisions hereof shall apply, but shall not <br />necessarily be limited, to the issuance, granting, enactment, <br />or approval of the following: <br />(1) Use permits. <br />(2) Use permits for excavations. <br />(3) Planned development permits. <br />(4) Architectural permits. <br />(5) Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. <br />(6) Variances to provisions of the Zoning Ordinance. <br />(7) Prezoning of areas prior to annexation by the City. <br />(8) Tentative subdivision maps. <br />(9) Exceptions to provisions of the subdivision regulations. <br />(10) Franchises. <br />(11) Revocable permits. <br />(12) Leases. <br />(13) Other governmental entitlements relating to or con- <br />nected with that category of discretionary projects <br />defined in paragraph 2(m) (3) hereof. <br />-4- <br />
