0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City as follows: 1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them is, true and correct and the Council so finds and determines. 2. The public interest, convenience and necessity require the acquisition, construction, improvement, maintenance and operation of the project for the District hereinafter de- scribed, and the Council intends that the District shall incur a general obligation bonded indebtedness for said project. 3. The object and purpose of said project for which said proposed general obligation bonded indebtedness is to be incurred and the amount of said proposed general obligation bonded indebtedness are as set forth in the following bond measure: MEASURE (A): Shall Redwood City General ( District Improvement District No. 1 -65 No. 1 -65 incur a general obligation Storm bonded indebtedness in the Drainage principal amount of $6,200,000 Project) for the acquisition, construc- tion, improvement, maintenance and operation of the following district pro - ject, to wit: Storm Drainage Project com- prising (a) construction of storm drainage collection systems, creek channel improve- ments, canals, drains and appurtenant facili- ties; (b) pump and discharge works, including construction of new drainage pumping and dis- charge facilities and improvement and modifi- cation of existing pumping facilities; (c) lands, rights of way and easements for any or all of said works; and (d) other works, prop- erty or structures necessary or convenient for said project? 4. Monday, April 12, 1965, at the hour of 8 P.M. (P.S.T.) and the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, City of Redwood City, California, be and the same are hereby fixed as the time and place of hearing by the Council on the following questions: 2
