rAM <br />CHAPTER 5 <br />Sections <br />512 Omnibus. A district shall have and may exercise all <br />rights and powers necessary or incidental to or implied from <br />the specific powers granted in this ordinance. Such specific <br />powers shall not be considered as a limitation upon any power <br />necessary or appropriate to carry out the purposes and intent <br />of this ordinance. <br />513 Sale or Lease. A district may sell, lease or otherwise <br />dispose of any property acquired for or on behalf of the dis— <br />trict or any interest therein, in the manner provided in the <br />city charter. <br />514 Assessments. A district may levy and collect assess— <br />ments and issue bonds upon unpaid assessments in the manner <br />herein provided. <br />515 Taxes. A district may levy and collect taxes in the <br />manner provided herein. <br />516 Utilities. A district may acquire or construct conduits <br />and other underground gas, telephone and electrical facilities <br />required under any rules and regulations adopted by any public <br />utility pursuant to the rules, regulations and orders of the <br />Public Utilities Commission, and may sell such facilities in the <br />manner provided by Article 9 (commencing at Section 50550), <br />Chapter 2, Part 1 Division 1 Title 5 of the Government Code. <br />517 Contributions. A district may accept any contribution of <br />money from any source for any project of such district or of any <br />improvement district therein or for payment of any principal <br />of or premiumsor interest on any general obligation bonds, <br />revenue bonds or assessment bonds of such district or of any <br />improvement district therein. <br />13 <br />
