CHAPTER 6 <br />Sections <br />CHAPTER 6 <br />FORMATION <br />601 General. The council may create a Redwood City General <br />Improvement District comprising any portion of the city pursu- <br />ant to this ordinance, for any or all purposes authorized herein. <br />602 District. A district may be formed to acquire, con- <br />struct, improve, maintain or operate any project or projects <br />and to provide for the costs and expenses thereof. <br />603 Resolution. Whenever the council determines that the <br />public interest and convenience require the doing of any <br />project in any proposed district, it may pass a resolution to <br />that effect. <br />604 Project Description. A general description of the <br />project or projects shall be stated in the resolution. For <br />the purpose of such description, reference may be made to maps, <br />plats, plans or other documents on file in the office of the <br />clerk. <br />605 Estimate of Costs. The resolution shall contain a state- <br />went of the general estimated cost of the project or projects <br />to be accomplished by the district. In arriving at such esti- <br />mates, the council shall include the general estimated amounts <br />of all of the items contained in each project. The estimate <br />shall not constitute a limitation upon the power of the dis- <br />trict to incur an indebtedness greater or lesser than the <br />amount of any such estimate. <br />606 Further Contents. The resolution shall also: <br />(a) Describe the boundaries of the proposed district, <br />which may consist of two or more noncontiguous parcels. <br />(b) Designate the district by number. <br />(c) Declare the district to be the district benefited <br />by the project or projects. <br />14 <br />
