CHAPTER 7 <br />Sections <br />705 Vote - Inhabited. If the territory within which the <br />election is to be held is inhabited and has registered electors <br />residing therein, each registered elector may cast one vote on <br />each measure submitted at the election, and no other type of <br />vote shall be received. <br />706 Id. - Uninhabited. If the territory within which the <br />election is to be held is uninhabited or is inhabited but <br />there are no registered electors therein, voting shall be by <br />land owners. One ballot may be cast for one or more parcels <br />of land. Each owner shall have one vote on each measure for <br />each $1 of assessed value(as shown on the assessment roll) of <br />(a) the land or (b) the real property or (c) all taxable property <br />owned by him, whichever is stated in the resolution calling the <br />election to be the tax base for the bonds for the project des- <br />cribed in such measure. <br />707 Election Board. The council shall appoint the officers <br />of election who shall be the board of election, and may appoint <br />three alternates who shall, in the order in which they are <br />appointed, fill any vacancies on the board of election if any <br />members do not attend at the opening of the polls. <br />708 List of Voters. Before the opening of the polls the <br />clerk shall provide and the board of election shall post in a <br />conspicuous place thereat a list of voters and, if owners, the <br />number of votes each may cast. <br />709 Hours. If voters are land owners, then notwithstanding <br />the provisions of general law, it shall not be necessary for <br />the polls to remain open after the votes of all voters entitled <br />to vote have been cast. <br />M-] <br />
