CHAPTER 15 <br />Sections <br />1505 (c) Territory. Describe the lands to be annexed. <br />(Contd.) <br />(d) Indebtedness. State whether said lands shall be <br />subject to taxation for the district bonds or <br />improvement district bonds diet, outstanding or <br />authorized. <br />(e) Hearing. State a time and place for hearing <br />objections by persons interested. <br />1506 Notice. The resolution shall be published and posted and <br />shall be mailed to the owners of all land in the territory proposed <br />to be annexed. <br />1507 Hearing. On the day fixed for the hearing, or any day <br />to which the hearing is adjourned, the council shall hear and <br />consider all written and oral objeeLlons presented to the <br />annexation of any of said lands to the district. <br />1508 Modification. At the hearing, the council may exclude <br />from the annexation any territory that in its opinion would <br />not be benefited by being so annexed. The council shall not, <br />however, modify the boundaries so as to exclude from..it any <br />land in the petition which would in its judgment be benefited <br />by the annexation as finally determined, nor shall it annex <br />any lands which will not in its judgment be so benefited. <br />1509 Annexation Resolution. Upon the conclusion of the hear- <br />ing, the council may adopt a resolution which shall: <br />(a) District. State the district or improvement district <br />to which the annexation is being made. <br />(b) Benefit. Find that the district or improvement dis- <br />trict and the lands to be annexed will be benefited <br />by the annexation. <br />(c) Indebtedness. Describe the district bonds_.,or improve- <br />ment district bonds, if any, the taxation for which <br />such lands will be subject. <br />(d) Boundaries. Determine and describe the boundaries <br />of the lands to be annexed. <br />49 <br />
