CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> AUTOMATED ENFORCEMENT SYSTEMS <br /> (PHOTO RED LIGHT ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM) <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Redwood City will hold a public headng <br />on the use of Automated Enforcement Systems to be installed at five locations <br />throughout the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />Automated Enforcement Systems take photographs of vehicles when they enter an <br />intersection after the traffic light cycles to red. The registered owner of the vehicle is <br />then sent a citation in the mail. Automated EnforCement Systems (Photo Red Light <br />Enforcement Program) have proven to be successful throughout the wodd in <br />reducing life-threatening accidents caused by ddvers running red lights, <br /> <br />You have the dght to comment on the proposed use of the Automated Enforcement <br />Systems at the public hearing to be held on the Monday, July 9, 2001, beginning at <br />7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. Testimony <br />must either be given in person at the time of the public hearing or received in wdting <br />by the police department prior to the date of the hearing.
