LARRY WISE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR THE EF'FICIENMETHODS USED BY <br /> THE REDWOOD CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT who handled the fire in his office on the night of January <br /> 4th. After discussion Councilman Granger moved that the City Manager contact outside <br /> departments to determine how much City equipment or records if any might be stored out- <br /> side the confines of the City Hall. Motion seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> COMMUNICATION FROM SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOL A. SPINAS REQUESTING AN EXPRESSION OF THE COUNCIL <br /> REGARDING ITS ATTITUDE TOWARD ANNEXING A PARCEL OF LAND NOW INCLUDED IN SAN CARLOS after <br /> the School District acquires title to it for school purposes. Mr. Spinas states that a <br /> majority of the members of the San Carlos City Council have already expressed themselves <br /> as being favorable. Councilman Royer stated that this annexation appeared feasible for <br /> the following reasons: <br /> 1. San Carlos would agree to the annexation because of the fact <br /> that most of the pupils will come from Lenolt district. <br /> 2. Redwood City would assume the expense of the crossing guard. <br /> 3. The School Trustees contemplate an erection of a portable <br /> building which might be moved at a later date, thus releasing <br /> the property for industry. <br /> ).. If the school cannot use this property it will be necessary <br /> for the School District to take other industrial property in <br /> Redwood City. <br /> In view of the above Councilman Granger moved that the Council look favorable upon the <br />
