Mr. Jain called attention to the fact that moving curbs back on both <br /> sides, street would be widened to 60 feet. DODO <br /> City Clerk <br /> Minutes of Regular Meeting . <br /> REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br /> JULY 5, 1955 8 :00 PM <br /> ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. <br /> Granger, Paul Jones, William H. Royer, Hiram S. Stout, Mayor Sidney D. Herkner, <br /> and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman Robert V. Spillers was noted absent. <br /> Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, <br /> Police Captain William Faulstich, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Assessor - <br /> Auditor John J. Brophy, Senior Civil Engineer Melvin I. Moen and City Attorney <br /> C. B. Currie. <br /> Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 20 and Adjourned Meeting of June 27 were approved <br /> as mailed on motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS - PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN LINES INTERIOR STREET, BLOCK BOUNDED BY TENTH, <br /> HAVEN, BAY AND PAGE. Affadavit of mailing was ordered filed. Communication from <br /> Noel M. McKenzie and Walter E. Hohl, property owners in the area requesting delay <br /> until they were able to clear the transaction with their mortgage holders, was read <br /> by the Clerk. Mrs. E. M. Black, 968 10th Avenue, appeared to offer objections and <br /> stated that should the Street be cut through, it would be necessary for her to reduce <br /> the height of her fence to avoid a traffic hazard. After discussion as to possibility <br /> of making the entrance a one -way street, Councilman Britschgi moved that hearing be <br /> continued to meeting July 11 to allow the Traffic Committee, Engineering Department <br /> and the Council members to look over the area. Councilman Royer requested -that engin- <br /> eers lay out a plan indicating the square footage of lots as they now exist. This <br /> was added to the original motion which was seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> Councilman Granger then moved that the matter be referred to the Traffic Committee <br /> for study and report on all corner lots involved. Motion carried by Councilman Brits - <br /> chgi and carried. <br /> ADOPT ORDINANCE RELATION TO SALARY PLAN. ORDINANCE #804. Affidavit of publication was <br /> I/ ordered filed. There being no protest,. written or oral, Councilman Britschgi moved <br /> public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. Councilman <br /> Granger moved adoption of the Salary Ordinance #804, seconded by Councilman Stout and <br /> carried on roll call, Councilman Spillers noted absent. <br /> MISCELLANEOUS - PRESENTATION OF 1955 -56 BUDGET BY CITY MANAGER: City Manager Rolison's <br /> cover letter to which was attached Summary of Appropriations and Revenues, was read <br /> by the Clerk. Councilman Granger assumed that this was a presentation only subject to <br />
