Letter tabled. <br /> MAYOR HERKNER stated plans for Veterans Memorial Building had been returned from Los Angeles <br /> and call for bids could now be completed. City Attorney has been in touch with <br /> Mr. Berge Clark and call for bids will be published soon. Bids will be opened either <br /> August 11 or August 18. <br /> COLONEL WEISS spoke briefly on the Planning Commission suggestion re matter of paying tech- <br /> nical staff to attend a third public meeting each month. Col. Weiss is of the <br /> opinion that a full time planning technician in addition to retaining the present <br /> Planning Consultant L. Wise. This matter will be discussed at the Wednesday night <br /> Study Meeting. <br /> MAYOR HERKNER asked that tickler file be brought up to date. <br /> COUNCILMAN GRANGER asked that matter of Upton Street sewer problem be placed on the Agenda <br /> for August 25th.
