CHARLES ALLEN AND LIONEL LUBFIN APPEAL PLANNING COMMISSION DENIAL VARIANCE TO ALLOW SIX FOOT <br /> FENCE AT SIDE AND REAR OF 1521 and 1727 GRANGER WAY. Councilman Royer moved that the date <br /> of Public Hearing be set for January 17, 1955, seconded by Councilman Stout. It was sug- <br /> gested that members of the City Council look this situation over and that the City Clerk <br /> notify the Planning Commission that the Council is giving this matter some study in order <br /> that a policy might be reached regarding this and other similar requests. Motion carried. <br /> W. D. CLOSE RESIGNATION FROM PERSONNEL BOARD. Councilman Stout moved that resignation be ac- <br /> knowledged with regret and that a letter of appreciation be sent him by the City Clerk, <br /> seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS RE: PROPOSED STUDY OF THE FIVE POINTS INTERSECTION. The Division of High- <br /> ways states that heavy work load would prohibit immediate study, however, said study would <br /> be undertaken as soon as availability of man power would allow (tickler July 5, 1 955). <br /> RESOLUTION 1815 AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF FUNDS TOTALING $1,000.00 TO THE ENGINEER DEPARTMENT <br /> SUPPLIES AND SERVICES WITH WHICH TO PURCHASE APPROXIMATELY 104 TRUCK ROUTE SIGNS, was <br /> offered by Councilman Stout, who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Royer and car- <br /> ried on roll call, Councilmen Britschgi and Spillers noted absent. <br /> COUNCILMAN ROYER MOVED THAT CLAD #15368 to #15484 TOTALING $63,490.84 be paid, seconded by <br /> Councilman Granger and carried. <br /> COUNCILMAN STOUT MOVED THAT THE COUNCIL ADJOURN with an expression to employees and citizens <br /> of a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> ADJOURNMENT 11:10 P. Kreiss, Administrative Assistant Orrin Wendling and Assessor - <br /> Auditor John Brophy. Councilmen Robert V. Spillers and Hiram S. Stotit noted absent. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Minutes of Regular Meeting of December 20th were approved as mailed after <br /> correction on Page 5, paragraph 1, Mayor Herkner adding "Mayor Herkner voting No ", on mo- <br /> tion of Councilman Jones seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - HARDING AVENUE ASSESSMENT. Affidavit of publication, mailing and posting was <br /> ordered filed. There being no protests written or oral, Councilman Royer moved close of <br /> hearing, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> RESOLUTION 1816 CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT HARDING AVENUE ASSESSMENT was offered by Councilman Gran- <br /> ger who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call, Council- <br /> men Spillers and Stout noted absent. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING BROADWAY SIDEWALK ASSESSMENT. Affidavit of publication, mailing and posting <br /> was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Britschgi moved <br />
