Councilman Granger was of the opinion <br /> that.a study should be made and all facts available to present to the Southern Pacific <br /> Company before the City Manager contact them. Councilman Britschgi agreed and <br /> seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Granger wanted to know what happened <br /> to the letter in which we gave them 30 days to correct the crossing situations. <br /> City Attorney Currie stated that the 82,300 has not been authorized.for purchase of lots <br /> 23 to 28, Blk 37, Central Park #2. Councilman Royer offered RESOLUTION NO. 1926 <br /> AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF FUNDS OF THE CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,300 <br /> and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call, <br /> Councilman Spillers noted absent. <br /> City Attorney Currie wants authorizationto be granted to the City Clerk to accept deeds <br /> to the property in back of the City Hall in regard to the Parking District, that is, <br /> as long as the cost is equal to but does not exceed the appraised value. Councilman <br /> Royer moved authorization, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> Mayor Herkner announced that there will not be a regular Council Meeting on September 19th. <br /> This meeting will be adjourned until september 26th. • <br /> Mayor Herkner stated that the Council has not received any reports on unfinished business <br /> which was supposed to be brought up before the Council every two weeks. City Manager <br /> was instructed to bring in report next meeting. <br /> Mayor Herkner reported that he is going to leave the City for about a week. Councilman <br /> Britschgi moved that Councilman Jones be named Mayor Pro -Tem during the absence of <br /> Mayor Herkner, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> Claims numbering 17276 to 17315, totaling $78,971.41 were ordered paid on motion of <br /> Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> Councilman Royer moved meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> Adjourned 11:25 p. m. --� <br /> ••HN B R H <br /> ' ler ro- e <br /> Minutes of the Regular Adjourned Meeting <br /> Redwood City Council <br /> September 12, 1955, 8:00 P. M. <br /> Devotional was lead by Reverend Charles M. Lemmex, Pastor, Grace Bible Church. Mayor <br /> Pro -Tem Jones explained to the audience that a Rabbi and a Catholic Priest had been <br /> contacted and would hold devotional services later in the year or the first part of <br /> next year. <br /> ON ROLL CALL The following were present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, F10. D. Granger, <br /> William H. Royer, Robert V. Spillers, Hiram S. Stout, Mayor pro -tem Orrin E.,Wendling. <br /> Mayor Sidney D. Herkner was noted absent. Also present were City Manager F. A. <br /> Rolison, City Attorney C. B. Currie, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Water Superintendent <br /> H. L. Winter, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Police Chief S. <br /> D. Wood, Police Captain William Faulstich and Fire Marshal George Asvos. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING, ANNEXATION, HIGHLANDS TERRITORY NO. 4. Affidavit of publication was <br /> ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Britschgi moved <br /> close of public hearing, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman <br /> Stout offered ordinance for introduction approving the annexation of Highlands <br /> Territory No. 4, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />
