Improvements not completed. City Engineer <br /> Jain stated that he received a call from Mr. Harrison, co- signer with Mr. Vallerga, who <br /> II promised that they would try to complete the improvement soon. Councilman Britschgi moil- <br /> ed that this be placed on the Agenda tor 30 days, and if nothing has been done the nec- <br /> essary action will be taken by the Council, and bonding company will be called upon to <br /> complete the improvements. Motion seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> PETITION FARM HILLS AREA. PROPOSED ANNEXATION. HIGHLANDS TERRITORY NO. 3 OR FARM HILLS, <br /> COUNCIL SELECT NAME. Letter from City Engineer read, containing petition for annexa- <br /> tion signed by more than 1/4 of the area, including Western Slope Land Corporation and <br /> N. Rovetta. Resolution has already been prepared by the City Attorney. If Mr. Davis <br /> files a written protest, the annexation cannot proceed. Mr. Fromm stated he was informed <br /> that Mr. Davis intends to sign the petition. City Attorney advised that less_than fifty <br /> percent of the assessed valuation of the area was represented in the petition at hand, <br /> and if protests were filed by Mr. Davis and Mr. Rossi, annexation proceedings would <br /> necessarily terminate. It-was decided to start proceedings, and Councilman Britschgi <br /> offered RESOLUTION 1835 calling the annexation Highlands Territory #3, and that public <br /> hearing be held on Monday, April .th, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on roll <br /> call. <br /> CITY ENGINEER JAIN'S REPORT OF INVESTIGATION OF PROTESTS, PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1. Report of <br /> City Engineer Jain was read by the City Clerk, which included protests from O'Keefe & <br /> 1 <br /> O'Keefe, Attorneys for Bank of America, as Executor for Ercolina Lombardini, deceased, <br /> Mrs. Norma M. Bates, Beneficiary under the will of Mrs. E. Lombardini, and Pacific Gas <br /> and Electric Company, protests attached to letter of Engineer Jain. Councilman Stout <br /> moved that the report be filed, and that people involved be notified that the objections <br /> will be taken up at the proper time, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> P.G. &E. RE: OPERATING PROPERTIES WITHIN PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1. Letter of the P.G. &E. read <br /> - by the City Clerk. Councilman Granger moved that the letter be filed, seconded by Coun- <br /> cilman Royer and carried. Councilman Britschgi wanted to know why the gas storage tank was <br /> in Redwood City. Mr. Reynard, Local Manager for P.G.&E., advised that at the time the <br /> tank was erected in Redwood City, there was low pressure and the tank was needed for re- <br /> serve supply for Atherton and Menlo Park. <br /> RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCE TO OTTO TECHEN TO ALLOW OVER 40% LOT COVERAGE AT 303 EDGEWOOD ROAD. <br /> Councilman Royer offered RESOLUTION NO. 1836 and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman <br /> Spillers and carried on roll call. <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ABANDONMENT SIX (6) FEET PUBLIC EASEMENT, BLOCK 5, FRIENDLY ACRES <br /> BETWEEN FLORENCE AND RAILROAD TRACKS. Councilman Britschgi offered RESOLUTION 1837 <br /> and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. Council- II <br /> man Royer moved that the City Clerk be authorized to accept deed for the easement, sec- <br /> onded by Councilman Stout-and carried. <br /> INTRODUCE ORDINANCE REZONE LOT 12, BLOCK 1, TERRACE SHOPPING CENTER (2000 Block Kentucky <br /> Street) FROM R -2 TO R -4, West of Lucky Stores.
