Fire Chief Lodi recommended that this <br /> be placed in Fire Zone #1, City Attorney to prepare the necessary Ordinance, so moved by <br /> Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS: COUNCIL AND DEPARTMENT HEADS. <br /> COUNCILMAN JONES SUGGESTED THAT THE SPOT BETWEEN WILLOW, CHARTER AND KAYNYNE STREETS BE ANNEXED. <br /> II He stated that he will attempt to contact the people in the area with the thought of an- <br /> nexing the area. Councilman Royer moved that Councilman Jones be given the name of pro- <br /> perty owners in that area to follow through on, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and <br /> carried. <br /> COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI SUGGESTED THAT THE CITY ATTORNEY AND MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL MEET WITH <br /> TRUCKING COMPANIES to try to straighten out the truck Ordinance which is so often mis- <br /> understood. <br /> COUNCILMAN GRANGER MENTIONED THAT A SIGN COMPANY HAS CONTACTED HIM WITH THE THOUGHT OF GIVING <br /> THE CITY A BILLBOARD FOR ADVERTISING CIVIC AFFAIRS, to be placed at an appropriate spot <br /> in the City. <br /> COUNCILMAN GRANGER ALSO MENTIONED THAT A CROSSWALK ON MARSHALL STREET WHERE THE COURT HOUSE IS <br /> GOING UP IS BADLY NEEDED. Councilman Granger moved that this be referred to the Traffic <br /> Fact Finding Committee to look into the need for a cross walk on the corner of Marshall <br /> and Warren, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> COUNC ILMAN SPILLERS STATED THAT A CROSSWALK IS ALSO NEEDED AT THE REDWOOD CITY LAUNDRY AREA. <br /> Also referred to the Traffic Fact Finding Committee, seconded by Councilman Britschgi <br /> and carried. <br /> COUNCILMAN ROYER MET WITH MR. SPINAS REGARDING THE EXCHANGE OR SALE OF HAWES PARK, WHO STATED <br /> THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO GO ALONG WITH THE COUNCIL'S VIEWS. This will be taken up at <br /> the next study meeting. <br /> COUNCILMAN STOUT INQUIRED AS TO STATUS OF THE SUGGESTION REGARDING SERVICE CLUBS, ETC. <br /> DONATING' BENCHES. City Clerk will check in to the matter. <br /> COUNCILMAN STOUT REQUESTED THAT THE CITY MANAGER MAKE A NEW LAYOUT FOR TIE PARKING LOT BEHIND <br /> THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. City Manager Rolison reported that this matter is under study <br /> of the Traffic Fact Finding Committee and is being held up until the parking lot behind <br /> the City Hall has been decided. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE REQUESTED AUTHORIZATION TO EMPLOY APPRAISERS FOR THE EXTENSION OF MARSHALL <br /> STREET, AND ALSO FOR THE AREA IN BACK OF THE CITY HALL. Councilman Jones so moved, sec- <br /> onded by Councilman Stout and carried. Councilman Granger moved that the City Attorney <br /> have the right to choose the appraiser, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> CITY MANAGER ROLISON'S REPORT ON THE STATE PERSONNEL BOARD TO MAKE A SALARY SURVEY. Estimated <br /> cost *675.00 for the salary survey, and any additional work besides the salary survey, <br /> $60.00 for each day of work required. Councilman Britschgi moved that the City Manager <br /> II be given authority to work out a contract with the State for a salary survey; seconded <br /> by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> CITY CLERK DODGE PRESENTED THE COUNCIL WITH APPLICATION OF CLIFTON HUDDLETON FOR DANCING AT <br /> CLIFF'S PIT, for teen - agers. Councilman Spillers moved that request for permit be denied, <br /> seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> COUNCILMAN ROYER EXCUSED AT 10:30 P.
