Councilman Spillers moved <br /> that recommendation of the Planning Commission be approved, seconded by Councilman Stout <br /> and carried. The City Attorney was instructed to prepare the necessary ordinance. <br /> APPROVAL L. F. BOURQUIN APPLICATION TO RESUBDIVIDE LOT 3, BLOCK 8, OAK KNOLL MANOR (Inner <br /> Circle) INTO TWO LOTS. Councilman Spillers moved the recommendation of the Planning <br /> Commission be approved, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried, <br /> APPROVAL OF LAND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY APPLICATION REZONE PORTIONS OF LOTS IN REDWOOD TERRACE <br /> #4 FROM R -1 to C -1 -H; ALSO FOR CERTAIN VARIANCES IN THE SAME AREA. Councilman Granger moved that this be set for public hearing March <br /> 21st, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> REPORT 'OF USE PERMITS GRANTED AT THE FEBRUARY 23rd MEETING. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION SUBMITTED LIST OF USE PERMITS APPROVED ON February 23, 1955 TO BECOME <br /> EFFECTIVE March 3, 1955, except for No. is <br /> 1. Councilman Jones moved that we accept the responsibility and alert <br /> all departments to that effect, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br /> DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS REQUEST CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON PROPEFTY IN FREEWAY. Councilman Gran- <br /> ger moved request be granted, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and carried. <br /> UNITED AIRLINES RE: TREE PLANTING AT 2890 EL CAMINO REAL. City Clerk read letter from United <br /> Airlines regarding the planting of redwood trees at the above address where their ticket <br /> office is located, outlining the provisions under which the trees would be planted. Coun- <br /> cilman Granger moved that the matter be turned over to the City Manager who will follow <br /> through on arrangements and have the Park Department proceed with the planting at the <br /> proper time, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME ON SIDEWALK REPAIR NOTICES. <br /> LETTER FROM J. L. AHEARN, JR., 88 HILLVIEW, was read by the City Clerk, in which he stated <br /> that he sold his house and feels that the expense should be borne by the new owners. <br /> Councilman Granger moved that a 30 day extension be granted, provided the Council is <br /> is furnished with the name of the new owner and he be notified of the action of the <br /> Council. The ordinance should include a specific time that work is going to be com- <br /> pleted. Also the Bond required in the ordinance of 025.00 is much too small, should <br /> be a greater amount, as the cost of work done is usually more than 0100.00. Council- <br /> man Stout stated that it should be up to the party or the person who was on record at <br /> the time the notice is sent for repairs. Councilman Spillers seconded the motion of <br /> Councilman Granger, and it failed to carry on roll call, Councilmen Britschgi, Jones <br /> and Stout voting NO. Councilman Royer, absent. Councilman Spillers moved it be carried <br />
