CITY CLERK DODGE READ A LETTER FROM CITY MANAGER ROLISON REQUESTING AUTHORITY FOR CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TEE EXTENSION OF A RELIEF SANITARY SEWER ON VIRGINIA AVENUE BETWEEN POPLAR AVENUE AND HAMPTON AVENUE. The funds for this project will come from the sewer rental funds. Councilman Jones moved that authority be granted, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. CITY CLERK READ LETTER FROM CITY ATTORNEY GURRIE'S OFFICE ENCLOSING FIVE DEEDS TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY COVERING A PORTION OF A RIGHT OF WAY FIFTY FEET IN WIDTH TOGETHER WITH A CUL -DE -SAC HAVING A RADIUS OF FORTY FEET AT THE END OF PROPOSED GLENNON DRIVE. Councilman Jones moved that the deeds be accepted. No second to this motion. Engineer Jain recom- mended against this action stating that it still does not gite access to the street. Coun- cilman Britschgi moved that this be placed on the Agenda to allow Council to refresh their memories on the subject, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. Matter will be dis- cussed at a Study Meeting, Wednesday, March 9, 1955. MAYOR HERKNER REQUESTED INFORMATION REGARDING PRESENT STATUS OF INDUSTRIAL WAY. City Attorney stated that there is a suit on file in connection with which he is preparing a dumurer, which he hopes to file this week. CLAIMS NO. 16017 TO NO. 16082 FOR $24,624.66 WERE PRESENTED TO THE COUNCIL FOR PAYMENT. Coun- cilman Britschgi moved that the claims be paid, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. Also present were Water Superintendent Lyle Winter, Police Captain William Faulstich, Administrative Assistant Orrin Wendling, City Manager E. A. Rolison, S. H. Kreiss, Building Inspector, City Attorney C. B. Currie, Fire Chief Lodi, and City Engineer Glenn M. Jain. Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi and Paul Jones noted absent. . PERSONAL APPEARANCE - EMMETT CASHIN APPEALING PLANNING COMMISSION CONDITION ON APPROVAL OF FOX - CARSKADON BUILDING AT OAKWOOD AND EL CAMINO REAL. Mr. Cashin, Jr. appeared before the Coun- cil stating that approximately two months ago, the Planning Commission approved a 7-i' set- back along Oakwood Blvd. Now the Planning Commission is requesting a 10' set -back. Mr. Cashin stated that he has looked into the situation in regard to future development of Oakwood and the surrounding territory, and he found that there are 3* acres in back of Oakwood that have possibility of subdivision at a later date.
