COUNCILMAN ROYER PRESENTED THE COUNCIL WITH A MAP SHOWING THREE POSSIBLE WAYS THAT EBENER COULD <br /> BE CARRIED ON THROUGH. <br /> 1. To open Geneva to Hess Road. <br /> 2. To open Lucernto Hess Road. <br /> 3. Break cul -de -sac and go through to Woodside Road. <br /> The consensus of opinion by all residents involved was to open Lucern to Hess Road. After <br /> II much discussion Councilman Spillers requested that if either Geneva or Lucern were opened <br /> to Hess Road the other street should be restricted by plan lines prohibiting the building <br /> of homes on the proposed street. Councilman Granger moved that the recommendation of the <br /> people involved, to open Lucern to Hess Road, as shown on the map presented be accepted, <br /> seconded by Councilman Jones and carried on roll call. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE PRESENTED THE COUNCIL WITH ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONE #1 on Lot 2, <br /> Block B, W. W. & M. (Al Garfoli) which was introduced by Councilman Spillers, seconded <br /> by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> CITY CLERK RALPH DODGE READ REQUEST OF CLIFF HUDLETON OF CLIFF'S PIT FOR PERMIT TO HOLD GRAND <br /> OPENING PARTY ON EASTER SUNDAY FROM 2:00 P.M. TO 10:00 P.M. AT 46 WILLOW STREET. Council - <br /> man Spillers moved that permit be denied, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> MAYOR HERKNER REQUESTED THAT THE YACHT HARBOR COMMITTEE MEET AND BRING THE COUNCIL SOME RE- <br /> COMMENDATION AS TO HOW IMPROVEMENTS AT YACHT HARBOR CAN BE FINANCED. If the people feel <br /> that a bond issue will pass the Council will go along with it. The proposed improvements <br /> cannot be built without dredging the channel. City Clerk was directed to notify the chair- <br /> man of the Yacht Harbor Committee to meet and present recommendation to the Council. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> APPROVAL APPLICATION W. G. NABHAN TO RESUBDIVIDE PORTION OF LOT 24, LEE TRACT INTO TWO LOTS <br /> 50' x 101.25' (Nueva Street) SUBJECT TO EASEMENT. Letter of Planning Commission recommend- <br /> ing approval subject to deeding 7 feet for street widening and owner paying for sewer lat- <br /> erals was read. Councilman Spillers moved approval, seconded by Councilman Royer and car- <br /> ried. Councilman Spillers moved that City Clerk be authorized to accept the Deed, second- <br /> ed by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> APPROVAL APPLICATION PROPERTY OWNERS ON CLAREMONT AVENUE TO REZONE TO R -3 SUBJECT TO DEED RES- <br /> TRICTION LIMITING DENSITY AND HEIGHT. Councilman Spillers moved that public hearing be <br /> set for April llth, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> APPROVAL MORGAN, HINMAN AND AGBAYANI TO REZONE REAR THIRTY -SEVEN (37') FEET OF LOTS 6, 7 and 8, <br /> BLOCK 1, REDWOOD VILLA PARK FROM R -4 TO C -1 -H AND PLANNING COMMISSION INITIATIVE TO REZONE <br /> CURRIE AND REGAL PALE PROPERTY FROM R -4 TO C -1 -H excluding area now zoned C. Councilman <br /> Granger moved that these two be carried on the Agenda until such time as the Council recei- <br /> ves report from the Planning Commission on the Council's action initiating proceedings to <br /> rezone the area bounded by El Camino Real, Woodside Road, Linden Street and Center Street <br /> from R -4 to C- 1 -H -F, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried, The second Planning <br /> II Commission meeting will be held on April 12, 1 955. <br /> DENIAL CARL ROSENE TO REZONE LOTS 5, 6, 7 and 8, BLOCK 49, CENTRAL PARK AND PORTION OF LOT 20, <br /> BLOCK 52 FROM R -1 TO R -4. APPLICANT REFUSED R -3. Vote Tied. Councilman Spillers moved <br /> that hearing be set for April llth, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> DENIAL APPLICATION OF SIFFORD AND MORROW TO REZONE LOTS 1 TO 6, BLOCK 9, KENSINGTON SQUARE FROM <br /> R -1 TO C -1 -H (Jefferson and Alameda). Councilman Spillers moved that hearing be set for <br /> April 25th, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried, <br />
