6.1.B. - Page 15 <br />Attachment 2 <br />Construction Management Services <br />Glenwood Pump Station <br />7. Field Orders (FO) and Field Directives (FD) <br />a. In the event that the Contractor encounters a time sensitive <br />problem where it is not practical to take time to negotiate a <br />settlement, the CM will issue a FO. All work done under a <br />FO will be completed on a time and material basis. The <br />CM and the City of Redwood City will execute the FO. <br />b. Field Directives will be issued to the Contractor when the <br />directed work is to proceed under protest. <br />8. Progress Payments <br />a. Administrate the preparation and processing of the monthly <br />progress payments. <br />9. Scheduling <br />a. Review and work with the Contractor in their development <br />of the initial baseline schedule and preparation of the <br />weekly updates. <br />b. Provide written comments to the Contractor on the <br />baseline and monthly update schedules. <br />I1. Field Inspector (Fl): ,lames Williams <br />A. Project Responsibilities <br />1. Field Observation (When on -site) <br />a. Provide field observation services to monitor compliance <br />with Contract Documents. <br />b. Prepare a daily inspection report documenting all field <br />activities, field crews, Contractor equipment, and field <br />problems. <br />c. Submit all daily inspection reports to the CM and the City. <br />d. Coordinate with the CM to maintain the database, <br />implemented by Covello, for daily observation reports and <br />photographs. <br />e. Provide photographic documentation of The Project prior to <br />construction, and maintain photographs of field activities <br />for status monitoring of the project. <br />lll. Special Inspections, Testing <br />A. Schedule and coordinate special inspections, m aterials testing. <br />S. Redwood City will contract for all special services including: <br />a. Hazardous materials inspections, testing or consultations. <br />b. Concrete quality control and testing <br />c. Soils testing <br />d. Ceotechnical services <br />C. Redwood City will contract for all other design related services. <br />111. project Closeout <br />A.
