�/ • <br />Mr. Church asked the Commission for a motion to (1) accept/reject Kaiser's language, <br />and (2) accept/reject the proposed language on page 5 of the Staff Report. <br />Commissioner Seybert said an unofficial motion would be in order, but final approval will <br />be deferred to next week (July 1�). <br />Chair Foust asked for a motion on the Kaiser language. <br />WS: (Seybert/Radcliffe) that the underlined language at the end of items 1 and 2 on the <br />document dated, June 24, 2003 from Mr. Terry Austin be included into the Precise Plan. <br />Motion passes 6 -1 (Commissioner Paulson — No) <br />WS: (McCoy /Seybert) To direct Staff to incorporate the changes proposed by Senior <br />Planner Riordan in the Memo dated, June 24, 2003; and also the staff - recommended <br />changes on circle page 5 of tonight's Planning Commission Packet, and have both of <br />those items be incorporated into the re- drafted Precise Plan. <br />Motion passes unanimously. <br />Commissioner Piulle referred to page 38 of the Precise Plan regarding unused /vacant <br />sites. She asked if they could include language authorizing the Architectural Review <br />Committee to oversee unused /vacant lots. <br />Assistant City Attorney Brower advised Commissioner Piulle that this document will be in <br />place for over 25 years, and she may want to give some flexibility in the language added <br />to read "... the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) or some other entity...," should the <br />ARC be changed into a different entity. <br />M /S: (Piulle /McCoy) that language be added in the Precise Plan relating to <br />unused /vacant sites to read, "... for review by the Architectural Committee or some other <br />entity.' <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />M /S: (Piulle /Garcia) to continue this matter on July 1, 2003. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />MATTERS OF COMMISSION INTEREST <br />Mr. Passanisi: <br />July 14, 2003 City Council will be asking Planning Commission candidates to <br />give a presentation in response to two questions, followed by an interview of <br />those candidates selected by the Council. <br />July 1, 2003 — Continuation of the Certification of the Kaiser Precise Plan <br />July 8, 2003 — EIR Certification of the Marina Shores Project (Tentative) <br />July 15, 2003 - EIR Certification of the Marina Shores Project (Tentative) <br />Commissioner Seybert said he will be unavailable after the July 15'" meeting until the <br />first meeting in August. <br />Page 16 of 17 <br />
