Kennedy/JenksConsultants <br /> <br />Mr. Chu Chang <br />City of Redwood City <br />25 March 2003 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> · Number of meters serving facility and description of meter locations/areas served <br /> · High-water use activities within facility <br /> · Monthly water meter data by year with sub-totals and totals by facility function/location, if <br /> available, as well as water demand per bed or other unit calculations <br /> · Expansions during time period of meter data <br /> · Estimated occupancy or occupancy assumptions during period of meter data <br /> · Other standards measures of water demand estimation commonly used in Hospitals <br /> including reference name, date, and appropriate excerpts. <br /> · Other information that could be useful in interpreting the meter data <br /> <br />Sub-task 2-t -Prepare Water Demand Data/Methodology Matrix <br /> <br />This task will include preparation of a matrix that compares the five other cities/water agencies <br />methods for estimating water demand for a hospital facility with the data provided by Kaiser <br />Permanente and the method used by the City. <br /> <br />Sub-Task 2-2 - Prepare Water Demand Comparison Technical Memorandum <br /> <br />This task includes a preparation of a tech memo that will document data that were obtained, the <br />sources, as well as a brief summary that compares the various data/methodology sources. The <br />Tech Memo will be prepared in draft form for review by the City and by Kaiser Permanente. <br />Comments on the draft Tech Memo will be solicited in a meeting identified in Task 2-3. It is <br />assumed that two sets of written comments one each from the City and Kaiser Permanente will <br />be received. If Kaiser Permanente has multiple outside reviews of the draft Tech Memo, it is <br />assumed that all of the comments will be consolidated into a single document. Once the City <br />and Kaiser Permanente's comments are received, they will be incorporated and a final tech. <br />memo will be prepared. <br /> <br />Sub-Task 2-3 - Meetings <br /> <br /> It is assumed that there will be 1 meeting with City staff and Kaiser Permanente representatives <br /> during the course of this project. The meeting will be after the submittal of the draft Tech Memo <br /> and will be discuss and receive comments on the draft Tech Memo. The meeting will be <br /> attended by up to 2 Kennedy/Jenks staff and it is assumed that the meeting will take up to 2 <br /> hours, <br /> <br /> Sub-Task 2-4 - Project Management and Quality Assurance/Quality Control <br /> (QA/QC) <br /> <br /> Project management includes scheduling of meetings, preparation of invoices, and coordination <br /> of resources. QA/QC includes review of draft and final work products, project methodology, and <br /> technical results. <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
