Pedestrian environment. Landscapin� shall be provided to <br /> enhance the pedestrian environment. Pedestrian access to <br /> sidewalks and buildin�s shall be considered in the desi�n of all <br /> landscaped areas. <br /> iv. Landscape desi�n. The reauired landscape plan shall be desi�ned <br /> to inte�rate all elements of the proiect (i.e., buildin�s, structures. <br /> arkin� lots, and streets) to achieve aesthetic obiectives, provide <br /> shade and amenities for pedestrians, provide opportunities for <br /> stormwater infiltration, and to minimize water and ener�v <br /> demand. <br /> b. landscape location Reauirements. <br /> i. Zero-lot line landscapin�. Where the front setback is zero feet <br /> and abuts the front propertv line, landscapin� shall be provided in <br /> the form of street trees. Street trees shall be allowed to encroach <br /> on the minimum sidewalk width. <br /> ii. landscaped setback and open space reauired. All setback areas <br /> and other open areas of a site not occupied bv buildin�s or <br /> sidewalk shall be landscaped. <br /> iii. Walk-up residential. The landscaped front setback for walk-up <br /> residential units mav include privacv hed�es or low walls or fences <br /> to provide separation from the sidewalk ed�e. Landscapin� shall <br /> screen blank walls and accent space provided for an entrv. front <br /> stoop, or porch. <br /> c. Landscapin� and Irri�ation Svstems. All landscapin� and irri�ation <br /> svstems shall complv with Article 32. Section 12 and Article 36. Section 5 <br /> of this Zoning Ordinance. <br /> 6. Walls and Fencin�.
