TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY 6.1.13. - Page 7 <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (RCPOA) <br />straight -time rate of pay during the first six (6) months of service with the <br />City and for the floating holidays thirteen (13) only upon completion of <br />twelve (12) months' service with the City. <br />The following shall be paid holidays to all employees who are covered by <br />this MOU: <br />1. New Year's Day <br />2. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (observed on the third Monday in <br />January) <br />3. President's Day (Observed on the third Monday in February) <br />4. Memorial Day (Observed on the last Monday in May) <br />5. Independence Day <br />6. Labor Day (Observed on the first Monday in September) <br />7. Veterans Day (Observed November 11) <br />8. Thanksgiving Day <br />9. The Day after Thanksgiving <br />10. Christmas Eve <br />11. Christmas Day <br />12. New Year's Eve <br />13. Two administrative holidays and such other days as may be <br />proclaimed local holidays. <br />If one of the holidays listed above falls during the employee's vacation or <br />on an employee's day off or if an employee is scheduled or required to <br />work on a holiday, the employee shall be allowed a regular workday off at <br />a time determined by agreement between the employee and the <br />Department Head. If the Department Head determines that it is not <br />feasible to grant such other workday off, the employee shall be paid for the <br />holiday on the basis of time and one -half (1 -1/2) but not to exceed ten (10) <br />hours for any one (1) holiday. <br />In the event any of the holidays specified in this section occurs while an <br />employee is on vacation or sick leave, the holiday shall not be charged as <br />vacation or sick leave. <br />June 9 2011 4 <br />
