6.1.13. - Page 8 kTIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (RCPOA) <br />A holiday that falls on Saturday shall be celebrated on Friday and a holiday <br />that falls on Sunday shall be celebrated on Monday. <br />In the event that any Administrative Holiday has not been used by the last <br />pay period in the year (based on the preceding 26 pay periods), payment <br />will be made no later than the first pay period in February. <br />Health and Welfare: <br />10.1 Medical Insurance <br />The City will contract with the California Public Employee's Retirement <br />System (CaIPERS) for participation under the Public Employees Medical <br />and Hospital Care Act (Government Code Section 22751, et, seq.), for the <br />purpose of providing medical insurance benefits for employees. <br />Upon the request of the City, the parties will re -open this Article 10.1.1 to <br />meet and confer on modifying 10.1.1 to provide a different group health <br />plan. It is understood that any such change is subject to approval of the <br />P.O.A. membership. <br />10.1.2 The City's maximum, monthly contribution for each eligible, active <br />employee for a Health Benefit Plan (as referenced in Government Code <br />22892) shall not exceed the CalPERS minimum contribution, adjusted <br />annually by the PERS Board to reflect any change to the medical care <br />component of the Consumer Price Index and shall be rounded to the <br />nearest dollar. <br />10.2 Cafeteria Plan <br />10.2.1 Available Benefits: The City shall establish, in accordance with <br />Section 125 of the IRS Code, a Cafeteria Plan for the purpose of providing <br />employees with access to various health and welfare benefits. Benefits <br />available through the Cafeteria Plan include, but are not limited to: <br />A. Group Health Plan Medical Insurance <br />B. Flexible Spending Account for Dependent Care <br />C.
