TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY 6.1.13. - Page 9 <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (RCPOA) <br />10.2.2 City Contribution: <br />For each active, full -time employee enrolled in a City- provided medical <br />plan, the City will provide, on a monthly basis, a Cafeteria Plan Allowance <br />equal to the cost of premium for the employee's selected plan and level of <br />coverage, up to the cost of the Kaiser Bay Area/Sacramento Region three <br />(3) party premium per month per employee minus any costs incurred by <br />the City to maintain said Cafeteria Plan in compliance with IRS Code <br />Section 125, and minus any costs incurred by the City to maintain the <br />Group Health Benefits Plans in compliance with Government code Section <br />22750, et. seq. Such costs include, but are not limited to, surcharges <br />and/or administrative fees <br />Effective January 1, 2012, if an employee elects no health coverage and <br />shows evidence of other coverage, $100 per month will be credited to the <br />employee's flexible spending accounts. <br />10.2.3 For permanent part -time employees working (20) or more hours <br />per week covered by the MOU this amount shall be prorated. <br />10.5 Life Insurance <br />Effective September 1, 2011, the City shall provide employees Basic Life <br />Insurance coverage of $50,000, and Accidental Death and <br />Dismemberment (ADD) coverage of $50,000. <br />14.1 Retirement Plan <br />Retirement benefits for employees shall be those established CalPERS for <br />Local Safety Members Two Percent (2 %) at Age Fifty (50) Formula. <br />Effective the first full pay period that includes July 1, 2004, retirement <br />benefits for employees hired before the date of the City's amendment of its <br />contract with CalPERS shall be those established by CalPERS for Local <br />Safety Members Three Percent (3 %) at Age Fifty (50) Formula. <br />Retirement benefits for employees hired on or after the date of the City's <br />amendment of its contract with CalPERS will be those established by <br />June 9 2011 6 <br />
