acknowledges that it is anticipated that Contractor may have <br /> unforeseen or unplanned incidents where it is unable to provide <br /> 24 hour, 7 day a week service, including, for example, where <br /> there is an unforeseen or unplanned incident, which occurs during <br /> the affected shift, such as unforeseen sick leave or a workers' <br /> compensation incident or where the EMT-Paramedic is on duty but <br /> assigned to another medical call or fire. <br /> <br /> 2. Contractor shall provide to County patient information, <br /> according to the specifications of the EMS Medical Director, <br /> related to every medical response, including but not limited to <br /> time and date, patient profile information, medical assessment <br /> and treatment, and base hospital medical direction. <br /> <br /> 3. Contractor shall establish a quality improvement <br />program and actively participate in all appropriate local EMS <br />system quality improvement activities. <br /> <br /> 4. During the term of this agreement, Contractor is not <br />authorized to provide any emergency ambulance service nor to <br />transport patients to the hospital unless such transport is so <br />requested by County. If Contractor transports any patient to the <br />hospital a written incident report explaining the circumstances <br />requiring transport must be filed to the EMS agency within 24 <br />hours. <br /> <br /> 5. Contractor shall procure and maintain medical <br />equipment, medical supplies, and communications equipment in <br />accordance with County policies and procedures. <br /> <br /> 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
