A one day visit to the
site is planned for the electrical engineer and the sanitary/mechanical engineer to collect field
measurements, utility information and nameplate data. An additional meeting with City staff -
- particularly the operations personnel -- is planned to discuss detailed requirements of the
project and equipment components, and to collect any other background information.

Coordination for permits, access, easements and right-of-way shall be performed by the City.
The City shall also provide records of previous construction for the existing facilities and
related utility information.

Five copies of this submittal will be delivered to the City for review.

Task 2. Prefinal Design

This task will develop the plans and specifications to the complete final design level. This
will include the plans, sections, and details required to construct the project. An estimate of
the most probable construction cost will be made at this time. An initial meeting for this task
will provide for review of the comments on the 50% design submittal. Five copies will be
submitted to the City for review.

Task 3. Final Design

This task will start with a meeting to review any comments on the pre-final design submittal.
Comments will be incorporated into the drawings and specifications. The documents will be
signed and a reproducible set of documents will be provided to the City for bid issuance.

Task 4. Construction Support

Construction Support services will cover the period from the release of the project for bidding
through completion of construction. The services will include:

Response to questions during bidding,
Attendance at preconstruction conference,
Response to clarifications during construction,
Preparation of change orders,
Review of shop drawings and contractor submittals,
Two site visits, and
Final inspection and preparation of punch list.

p:\ PRO~'ECTS\RC-PS\PRO POSAL\REDWOO D2 ,WPD
