SWC:sh 12/14/84 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has adopted rules and regulations for <br />owner participation, rules for the re-entry of businesses or <br />persons into the Redevelopment Project No. 2, as may be amended, <br />and relocation assistance rules, as required by the Community <br />Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code §33000 et seq.); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has considered the report and <br />recommendations of the Planning Commission, the Amendment No. 1 <br />to the Redevelopment Project No. 2 and the Environmental Impact <br />Report previously prepared for Redevelopment Project No. 2 along <br />with the recommendation of the Planning Director that no further <br />environmental study is required, and has provided an opportunity <br />for all persons to be heard, and has received and considered all <br />evidence and testimony presented for or against any and all <br />aspects of Amendment No. 1 to Redevelopment Project No. 2 in the <br />Gateway Sub-Area; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY HAS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose and intent of this Council with <br />respect to Amendment No. 1 to the Redevelopment Project No. 2 in <br />the Gateway Sub-Area is to add approximately 4.27 acres of land <br />to the Gateway Sub-Area. The area to be added is contiguous to <br />the existing Gateway Sub-Area, abutting said area on both James <br />Avenue and Franklin Streets. Expansion of the Gateway Sub-Area <br />will create a more viable area for future redevelopment. <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
