3�8 <br /> Jack Lindo 810 Fulton, stated that increased density in development <br /> in the neighborhood has created traffic and parking problems. Mr <br /> Lindo stated that his lot is zoned for seven units but is developed <br /> as a single-family home. He suggested that neighbors could tolerate <br /> development of a duplex on the sub�ect property <br /> Mayor Leipzig invited the applicant (Per Calden) or his representative ' <br /> to speak No one was present in the audience to represent the appli- <br /> , cant <br /> MOTION Councilman Norris moved that the sub�ect public hearing be <br /> continued until September 29, 1977 to be certa�n the applicant has <br /> had an opportunity to speak <br /> It was pointed out that the applicant received notification of the <br /> public hearing in accordance with usual public hearing procedures <br /> and that no Council meeting is scheduled for September 29. <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> Planning Director Schroeter advised that it is his belief the appli- <br /> cant is not interested in pursuing the sub�ect PDP appl�cation and <br /> that he has applied for and received a permit to construct a duplex <br /> on the property <br /> MOTION Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, to <br /> close the public hearing <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> The public hearin9 was closed at 8 13 p.m � <br /> MOTION Councilman Rhodes moved, seconded by Councilman Norris, to <br /> uphold the decision of the Planning Commission and deny the applica- <br /> tion of Per Calden for a Planned Development Permit for a fourplex <br /> on a parcel conta�ning 13,350 square feet in an R-2 District, 703 <br /> Madison. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by vo�ce vote <br /> (MINUTE ORDER N0. 77-188) <br /> Public Hearing - Planned Development Permit (PD77-06) for a 16-unit <br /> condominium on a arcel conta�nin 24,862 s uare <br /> � feet, 1114 Brewster Avenue Brewster Townhouses , <br /> Mike Bozzo denied by Planning Commission <br /> Mayor Leipzig declared open at 8 15 p m the sub�ect public hearing. <br /> City Clerk Hildebrand reported the Affidavit of Publicat�on of Notice <br /> of Hearing and the Affidavit of Mailing are on file in her office. <br /> Richard Gardella 626 Winslow, attorney representing Mike Bozzo, the <br /> applicant, referred to prev�ous consideration of the sub�ect property, <br /> noting that the zoning allows 40 units and the request is for 16 � <br /> units Mr Gardella stated that he believes the proposed development <br /> would be appropriate for the site as a transit�on between a fine <br /> older neighborhood and medical/dental offices He requested approval <br /> uf the PDP application " <br /> Reg Mtg -3- <br /> 8/22/77 <br /> �� � <br />
