'� 4 4 '� City Counc�l Meeting - October 24, 1977 Councilman Norris referred to the following motion on page 5 of the Minutes of the City Council meeting of October 24, 1977• , "MOTION• Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, to take whatever action is necessary to rezone Parcel 3 of the Farm Hill property to PO-40 (Professional Office - 40,000 square- foot minimum lot size) District. (NOTE - Parcel 3 is the area designated on page 1 of the Staff Report of April 19, 1977 as follows "c) Parcel 3-'CA' District - 12.12 acres.") "The motion carried unanimously by voice vote ' (MINUTE ORDER N0. 77-227)" Councilman Norris stated that at the time the motion was made he did not understand nor intend that the matter should be referred to the Planning Commission for review, since he believed the PO-40 Oistrict was more restrictive than the CA Distr�ct previously considered. � City Attorney Schricker explained that on the same date, following the sub,7ect motion, Council adopted RESOLUTION N0. 7906 stating Council intention to make a substantial modification Mr Schricker advised that although it may appear the approved PO-40 Distr�ct zoning is more restrictive, that qualitatively, there may be effects which Council is not aware of and for that reason revtew is necessary. Public Hearing - Application for Planned Development Permit to allow the conversion to condominium ownership of 30 ' dwelling units, 1104-1140 Whipple Avenue - , Murray D. Nackord, applicant Mayor Leipzig declared open at 8.17 p m the sub�ect publ�c hearing City Clerk Hildebrand reported the Affidavtt of Publication of Notice of Hearing and Affidavit of Mailing are on file in her offi ce. John Hanna, 525 University Avenue, Palo Alto, representing the appl�- cant, advised he is present to respond to any question Council may ' have. Discussion followed and Mr. Hanna and Planning Director Schroeter commented and replied to questions regarding park�ng requirements; the fact that some guest parking will be provided in the locked underground garage with access provided by residents for their guests. Mr. Schroeter advised that since Redwood City does not have a condominium conversion ordinance, State law and the planned de- velopment permit procedures are used which make it possible to impose conditions , Mayor Leipzig invited anyone present who wished to speak to do so No one else wished to speak. MOTION Councilman Barrett moved, seconded by Councilman Vega, to , close the public hearing The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. The public hearing closed at 8 27 p m - 3- Reg.Mtg 11/7/77
