' ,� ' , <br /> �o <br /> � <br /> In response to question, Mayor Leipz�g; the City's representative ' <br /> on the Peninsula Water Agency, advised that �he Steering Committee <br /> of PWA is made up of both government and private purveyors of water <br /> and that all were extremely cooperative in establishing the Plan, <br /> and the goals.of both appear tp be the same with no difficulties <br /> encountered with regard to whether wholesale or retail water sales ' <br /> are involved. <br /> In response to question, Mr. Eppler stated that he will clarify in <br /> ` the Final Plan that continuing use of the private sector is antici- <br /> pated and that �t is not intended that a metropolitan system become <br /> involved in retail water sales. It is most concerned w�th'con- <br /> struction of the pipeline, or fourth barrel, and equal distribution. <br /> In further response to cortrtnent, Mr' Eppler advised that the fourth <br /> barrel is basically a completion of the transmission system which <br /> w�ll increase the system's capabil�ty of ineeting delivery needs. <br /> ' He observed that Cal Water cannot be a member of PWA as membership <br /> �s limited to publicly elected bodies, but Cal Water is a member <br /> , of the Steering Committee. <br /> MOTION. Councilman Barrett moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, <br /> , to endorse the Draft Comprehensive Water Resources Management Plan <br /> for San Mateo County prepared by Leeds, Hill and Jewett, Inc., <br /> April 1977 and request that a clarification be made in the Final <br /> Plan to �ndicate the role of the private purveyors of water within <br /> the Plan. <br /> The motion carried unan�mously by voice vote ' <br /> (MINUTE ORDER N0. 77-250) <br /> Transfer of Marina to Port ' <br /> City Manager Fales referred to the Joint Meet�ng w�th the ,Port Com- <br /> mission regarding transfer of the Marina to the �urisdiction of the <br /> Port. He advised that the Port Commission has today adopted <br /> RESOLUTION N0. P requesting control and �urisdiction of the <br /> �� Municipal Marina and CONCURRENT RESOLUTION N0. ?-825 which is <br /> presently before the City Council for adoption also. <br /> MOTION Titles having been read, Councilman Barrett introduced <br /> `the following resolution and ordinance and moved, seconded by �� <br /> Councilman Bury adoption of the concurrent resolution and approval <br /> ' for first reading of the ordinance <br /> CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO 7929 OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AND THE BOARD Of PORT COMMISSIONERS Of THE CITY OF REDWOOD� <br /> � CITY ESTABLISHING CERTAIN POLICIES RELATING TO THE TRANSFER <br /> OF CONTROL AND JURISDICTION OF THE REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL <br /> MARINA TO SAID BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS <br /> i <br /> ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING AND CONfERRING CONTROL AND JURISDICTION <br /> OVER PORTION OF LANDS WITHIN THE PORT AREA OF THE CITY OF <br /> ' REDWOOD CITY (MUNICIPAL MARINA) <br /> The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. , <br /> Cqmment was made that the Redwood City Municipal Marina is among <br /> the most successful in the Bay Area and those respons�ble for its <br /> operation were commended <br /> Reg.Mtg ' -2 ' <br /> �� il/21/77 <br />
