420
Revenue Sharing (Continued)_
In response to question with regard to use of the films for fund
raising, Mrs. Klapproth advised that she is not aware of such use
and that many films specifically may not be used for such purposes,
but that no charge is made for use of the films. In further
response to question, Mrs Klapproth said that the art collection ,
was started by a private donation and additons have been made by
f'riends of the Library. -
i! MOTION• Councilman Bury moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi, that
" wth regard to Revenue Sharing funds allocated to the City L6rary
in the amount of $19,000 for Audio Visual Materials, that the amount ,
be reduced by the $10,000 allocated for the purchase of films and
that attempts be made to get cooperation from the schools in using
thetr films.
Mrs. Klapproth requested that the Library Board be permitted to
determine whether they might not prefer to take the $10,000 from
some other part of the budget, since the purchase of films to
complete the phased program has been a high priority item with the
Board. ' ' ,
 4
CLARIFICATION.
