Mr. Fales stated that programs and financing have <br /> to be allocated for those who are residents of Redwood City and <br /> that other ,7urisdictions must provide for recreation needs of <br /> their residents, although Redwood City is willing to cooperate <br /> wherever possible He suggested that since the team members <br /> state that they ltve primarily in the unincorporated area of <br /> the County known as East Redwood City that the Board of Super- <br /> visors is the proper agency to approach with a request for addi- <br /> tional recreation facilities for the area. � <br /> Discussion followed and Council members comnented concerning the <br /> inability of the City to provide recreation faciltties for areas <br /> outside the City and the possibility that the Board of Supervisors <br /> who govern the unincorporated area may be able to provide for <br /> sports in that area <br /> Joel Bustos, 1040 Henderson, Menlo Park, resident of the un- <br /> incorporated area of the County, asked that if the sub�ect letter <br /> is referred to the Park and Recreation Commission, the following <br /> be considered: 1) the of the turf at Hoover School, <br /> 2) that the field at the Community Park on Roosevelt is not <br /> available for soccer since it has been reseeded; and 3) that the <br /> ' turf at Hawes Park needs reseeding. <br /> There being no ob,7ection, Mayor Weymouth ordered the letter of <br /> January 16, 1976 from Amador Bustos of Civil Hidalgo, relating <br /> , to soccer fields referred to the Park and Recreation Commission <br /> and to staff for investigation and report. Mayor Weymouth ad- <br /> vised that when the report is prepared, Mr. Bustos will be <br /> advised.
