CWM:djm 03/28/90 RD-7/27) <br /> <br /> b. Findings. The responsibility for determining the <br />~. mitigation for lost channel habitat rests with the <br /> California Department of Fish and Game. The <br /> Department has entered an agreement pursuant to <br /> Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code that sets <br /> forth the mitigation measures the Department deems <br /> appropriate, which measures do not prohibit the <br /> permanent removal of vegetation from the site. <br /> c. Rationale and Facts Supporting Findings. It is <br /> appropriate for the Agency and the City Council to <br /> rely on the determination of the California <br /> Department of Fish and Game here, since the <br /> Department has been given jurisdiction by statute <br /> for mitigation for lost channel habitat. <br />-- d. Mitigation Monitoring Responsibility. Mitigation <br /> monitoring responsibility rests upon the Developer <br /> and the Department of Fish and Game. <br /> 11. CULTURAL RESOURCES. <br /> a. Significant Effects. Previously undetected <br /> cultural resources could be discovered during <br /> excavation in the Project Site. <br /> b. Findings. The following procedure will be <br /> followed if during excavation or site preparation <br /> any cultural resources are found: <br /> <br /> 1. Stop work immediately and contact the San <br /> Mateo County Coroner if human remains are <br /> discovered.
