After considera.ble <br /> discuasion, the Council generally agreed that what vaas mer�nt by an eneZosure <br /> v�as s separate room tivith tiaalls to the floor and ceilin� a,nd a, d.00r at the <br /> entrance. There vras some discussion as to �vhether or not the door shoul�d be r•e7;� <br /> required to be closed and it ��as a6reed that there shoul.d be some method of <br /> seeing into .the r.00m Prhere dancing is conducted and that the Council ��ould <br /> not insist on the door being closed. Councilman Anderson expressed. the � <br /> opinion that with the exception of Foresters Hall none of the establish- <br /> ments wrould meet the requirements of the ordinnnce. Councilman Britsch�i <br /> moved that. the permit be cs�anted if they complied ia�.th the meaning of the <br /> City Attorney�s interpretation of what ie an encloeure. -P�fayor Hilton asked <br /> the City Attorney for his interqretation. City Attorney P,4cCarthy replied <br /> that from his persona.l inspeotion of the establishments under discus�ion <br /> he did not believe that the Club Deacon complied in ar.� e�ay �aith the ordi- � <br /> nance, ti�!hile the Club Scamus probably e�ould if the present arch���ay vrere re- <br /> placed with a door. At the G�oodside Club, he said, the.r.e is an archtira,y <br /> and open,spaces about 3 or 4 feet high;fron the floor. There was more dis- <br /> cussion by both the attorlieys and councilmen as to Nhat couid be done at <br /> the various eatablishments to fornt �n enclosure :3.nd CounciTman Crran6er moved ' <br /> that the permits be granted sub,ject to meeting erhat a, builder v�ould believe <br /> conetituted an enc'!osure or�rant the permit until such time as the Building <br /> Insoector comes_back F�ith a recommendation.
