Councilman GranF,er chan6ed his motion to read that ther permits be granted to the first meetin� in August. 'The motion.was seconded by Councilman Anderson and passed unanimously. Councilman h�cNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that permits for dzncea • be gran�ed Yvonne Schlichtmann for Wednesdays, July 4th a.nd llth until 12:00 midnight. Under the auestion, Councilman Gran�er stated he �aa.s a�Fin onnosin� • a rise in the city ma,na�er�s salary and read a prepared statement setting forth ` ais ob�ectione �ahich included non-residence, coun�il�s aproointment of ou+.,side auditor;. pa.ssaQe of a.ppropriation ordinance and sa.le of equipment �rithout Council authority. Mayor Hilton asked if the ' City employees n,�ould be getting their salaries if this ordinance is not intro- duced. City Attorney L4cC�rthy replied they vaould �et the sa.laries under the present salary ordinance but tila.t the ��.r bonus ordinance expired Jwze 30. __ Councilman Granger asked City Manager Pdead if he �vere nri111ng to have his salary leit out so that the other em;�ioyees could. receive their raise. City Pdanaqer , I�dead replied that he believed that was an unfair question to ask him.
