Chief <br /> Collins was of the opinion .the situation ml�ht be eased but he did not <br /> believe it wauld keep 1�.quor out of the hall. Councilman Armstrong amended hie motion to <br /> read that the permit be.�ranted U�ith the requirements that no liquor be <br /> sold on the nremises, seconded by Councilman McNtzlty. Motion paesed with <br /> Councilma.n Britschgi voting in the negative for t�ie reason that he did not <br /> believe anything could be accompllahed in thia r��ay. <br /> Councilr�an Armstrong moved, aeconded by Councilman Anderson, that the dar.ce <br /> permit for 8aturdays, May 26 and Jizne 2 to Court Maclrone P:o. 15$, F. of A, � <br /> be granted under the same conditions as the preceding permit was granted. <br /> Motion nassed. with Councilman Britschgi voting in the negative. . <br /> City Cler'� Dodge read communication from the 3tate War Cotincil in regard to <br /> . balloons being released by the Ja.paneEe. <br /> City P4ana�;er Mead presented the preliminary bu�get .°or the fiscal year i9�+5-46 � <br /> and a.dvised that the tax rate would be lo�•�ered by approximately six cents. <br /> CouncilmAn Granger stated he had pre�ared a etPtement which he asked to <br /> be filed or read as to his reasons why he was opposed to a raiae for the <br /> position oY city manager. Gouncilman Britschgi moved that the statement <br /> be filed.. There was no second to the motion and the City Clerk was in- �, <br /> structed to read the statement t�rhich set forth the personal reasons why <br /> .
