<br /> C, E. Randlett. Absent: Councilman Harold F. Anderson.
<br /> Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the minutes of
<br /> the previous meetir.g be agproved a� mailed. Under the queation, City '
<br /> Attorney McCartny atated tnat tnere wae an error in the wording of the
<br /> Filing of affidavit of publication of ordinance and in the adoption of
<br /> ordinance whicn should read ae followa: "....filing of affidanit of pub-
<br /> lication of ordinanae diafrancniaing city officers as membere of commis-
<br /> sione and committees,,,, and, "....adoption oY ordinance disfranchiaing ��
<br /> city officere as members of commissiona and committees....". He also
<br /> stated that in regard to the resolution adopted with regard to improvementa
<br /> on Hudeon Street, it should read a resolution of preliminary determination
<br /> and not preliminary intention, Councilman Granger changed his motion to
<br /> read that the minutes coneur in the aeording of tne ordinance and that the
<br /> wording of the resolution be changed from °intention° to °detexraination".
<br /> Councilman McNulty accepted the.amendment to the motion. Motion passed '
<br /> unanimouely,
<br /> Oommunication uvas received from the 8equoia Diatrict Girl Scout Leadere Associ-
<br /> ation for permisaion to conduct card party at the VPomen's Club House on
<br /> either May 17th or 24th, Couneilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Council-
<br /> ttian Fletcher, triat the permit be granted, Motion paesed unanimously.
<br /> Application�for dance permit was received from Court Madrone No. 158, F, of A„
<br /> for benefit dances to be conducted Saturdays, April 20th, 2'7th and May 4th, �
<br /> Councilman McPdulty moved, aeconded by Councilman Fletener, that the permit
<br /> be granted. Motion passed unanimously.
<br /> Communication was received from the Clyde Beatty Circus for permission to exhibit
<br /> in Redwood City either May 24tn or May 28th, Councilman Granger moved, -
<br /> seconded by Councilman Fletcner, that the permit be granted upon recommen- '
<br /> dation of the Police and Fire Departmenta. Motion passed unanimously.
<br /> Communication was received from City Manager Blom�advising that trie 101 Ranch,
<br /> Y�ild ��est and International Congress of Circus Stars had made an applicataon
<br /> to exriibit in Redwood Oity on Tuesday, April 30th. Councilman Fletcher
<br /> moved, seconded by Councilman Britechgi, that tne permit be granted if a.11 '
<br /> � rules and regulations of the ordinance are met. In answer to Councilman
<br /> Britschgi's question as to what classification this exhibit came under,
<br /> City Manager Blom replied that triere was no definite claseification but he
<br /> beliened it would come under the animal snotiv with an extra charge for a
<br /> moving picture, and tnat the fee would amount to $20 or �25. City Manager �
