Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Communication was received from the Redwood Cab Qompany in the form of an appli- <br /> cation for a restaurant license for a eandwich and coffee shop at 886 Main 1 <br /> Street. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, <br /> that the permit be granted subject to the approval of the Health Depart- <br /> ment. Motion passed unanimously, <br /> Application was received from the firm of MeDonald & Cryer.requesting permis- <br /> sion to operate a used car lot at 5`i0 E1 Camino Real, Oouncilman Fletcher <br /> moved, seconded by Councilman Hritschgi, that the permit be granted. • <br /> Motion paesed unanimously. <br /> Communication was received from City �ollector Nelle L. Miramontes advieing <br /> that she nad requests to purchaee from the city Lots 5, 10, 14, Block 2, <br /> and Lots 9, 10, Block 3, Jeffereon Avenue Addition; N.W. 1/2 of Lot 94, <br /> Gray Tract; Lot 1, Block 1, Homestead Addition No. 2 were on the list of <br /> lote advertised in September, 1945, The parties wisning to purchase the <br /> property are ovanera of adjacent pFOperty, Councilman Armstrong moved, ' <br /> seconded by Oouncilman Britschgi, that the lota be advertised sub�ect to <br /> the same terme and conditions o£ sale oY previous lots, Motion paesed <br /> unanimously. City Attorney MeCartny advieed that it would be neceasary <br /> to either appoint an appraiaer or have the real estate committee make an <br /> appraisal. He adnised that under the ordinance the sale of tax delinquent <br /> lots is permitted by the Assessor provided an appraisal has been made by <br /> the real estate committee. Inasmuch as these are tax delinquent lots and • <br /> v�ere included on a previous notice of sale, it would be appropriate to <br /> � nave the real est�te committee make the appraisal. Councilman Granger <br /> moved, seconded by Councilman F letcher, that the real estate committee <br /> appraise tne lota. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Gommunication was recieved from the International City BGanagere� Aseociation , <br /> advising of a conference to be held.in Montreal, June 16-21, 1946. Oity <br /> Manager Blom advised that he did not believe it would be advisable for <br /> him to attend thie conference thie year. The City Clerk veas inatructed <br /> to advise tne Association that Redwood City would not be represented at ' <br /> this conference. <br /> Comraunication was received from the 8an Mateo County Title Company advising <br /> that it was the title company's understanding that the city was to pay <br /> all taxes in regard io tne sale of Lots 2, 5, Block 11, Sweeny's Addition. <br /> City Attorney McCarthy advised that he had diecussed the matter further <br /> with both Mr. Morrissey, attorney for the purchaser, and the title company. � <br /> �. - I <br />
