<br /> Britschgi stated he was opposed to granting the permit inasmuch as he wae �
<br /> not in favor of dancing in a bar. Councilman Fletcher was of the opinion �

<br /> that the club met the requirements of the ordinance and he moved, seconded , `'�

<br /> by Councilman McNulty, that the permit be granted provided it meets the �
<br /> approval of the police and fire departmente. Councilman Armstrong ata.ted '
<br /> he was voting in fanor of the permit inasmuch as permite had been granted '
<br /> to two other establiehments. Motion passed with Councilman BFitschgi
<br /> voting in the negative,
<br /> In regard to the Traffic Study Committee's recommendation for off-street park-
<br /> ing to be provided by new eubstantial businesses, Councilman Armetrong 1
<br /> moved, seconded by Couneilman Granger, tnat the matter be referred to the
<br /> proper administrative officiale for a report as to what plans are effec-
<br /> tive 1n communities comparable to this one in order to carry out the plan,
<br /> Motion passed unanimously,
<br /> Councilman McNulty offered resolution authorizing joint tenancy deed to Thomas
<br /> and Helen Clark to Lots 1 and 2, Block 48, Eastern Addition, seconded by �
<br /> Councilman Fletcher. Councilman Arn�strong aeked if there were any delin-
<br /> queat taxes against these lots, City Collector Miramontes advieed there
<br /> were none. On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Council-
<br /> man Anderson aosent.

<br /> AUTHORIZING DEED FROM THE CITY OF RED4VOOD CITY TO THOMAS B, CLARK . '
<br /> AND HELEN A, CLARK, HIS WIFE, A8 JOINT TENANTB,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City has heretofore
<br /> given public notice soliciting bids for the real property hereinafter
<br /> described for the time and in the manner required by the Charter of thie
<br /> City and has heretofore appointed an appraiser to appraise the fair market
<br /> value of said property and THOMAB B. CLARI{ and HELEN A. CLARK submitted a
<br /> written bid or offer to purchase said property for $1,500.00, and eaid bid
<br /> was the highest and beet bid received for eaid property and is not less
<br /> than 90 per cent of the appraised value thereof as appraised by said ap-
<br /> praiser, and is found to be the reaeonable market value of said property
<br /> � at this time;
<br /> RESOLVED, that the City of Redwood City sell and convey to THOMAS B,
<br /> CLARK and HELEN d. CLARK, tiy a deed oY Joint Tenancy, the real property •
<br /> hereinabove referred to, situa,ted in the City of Redwood City, County of
<br /> San Mateo, Btate of California and particula.rly deseribed as followe:
<br /> Lots 1 and 2 in Block 48 se shown on a map intitled '�Map of Eastern
<br /> Addition of Redwood City" filed in the office of tne County Recorder
<br /> of San Mateo County, State of California, on November 3, 1862 in
<br /> Hook 2 of Miecellaneous Records at page 85, and copied into Book 1
<br /> of Mape at page 81,
<br /> for eaid sum of $1,500,00 paid concurrently with the delivery of such deed; '
<br /> FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Clerk of this City be and
<br /> they are hereby autnorized to execute such deed for and on behalf of said
<br /> City.
<br /> The above and foregoing Resolution.was passed and adopted by the
<br /> Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on
<br /> the 15th day of April, 1946, by the following vote:
