' <br /> The matter was placed onL he agenda for further consideration, <br /> City Clerk Dodge presented a bill from the Ross Garage for etorage of car belong- <br /> ing to Mre. Olive Koemple in the amount of $145 for the period of October <br /> 5, 1943 to March 6, 1946. The car had lieen held as.evidence in the case of ' <br /> Koemple vs, the City of Redwood City, Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded <br /> by Councilman McNulty, that the bill be paid. Under the question, Council- <br /> man Armstrong asked if the city were admitting any responsibility by pay- <br /> . ing the bill, City Attorney MeCarthy replied that it was not. Motion <br /> paseed unanimously. <br /> Applications arere received from Luxor Cab Company, Yellova Cab Company and 9equoia � <br /> Cab Company for taxi space. City C1erk Dodge advised that the Chief of <br /> Police had received the applications of the Yelloti+r Cab Company'and Sequoia <br /> Cab Company, Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, <br /> that the Luxor Cab Company application be referred to the Chief of Police <br /> in keeping v¢ith the ordinance for a recommendat.ion back to the Council at <br /> its next meeting. The other two applications to be held over to that <br /> meeting and action taken on all three at that time. Motion passed unanimousl�C ' <br /> City C1erk Dodge advised that he had received a etatement from Orrick, Dahlquist, , <br /> Neff, Br�wn and Herrington in the amount of $1000 for eervicea in connection <br /> with sale of �200,000 city bonde, City Attorney McCarthy advieed that the <br /> full amount tivould be �2000 and that this aras a etatement for the first �1000 <br /> on account. He suggested that it would be in order to apnrove the bill for <br /> payment and take the money from the bond issue. Councilman Fletcherrmoved <br /> seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the bill of Orrick, Dahlquest, Neff, � <br /> Srown and Herrington in the amount of �1000 be approved for payment, the <br /> funds to come from the bond issue vuhen that money ie available. Motion <br /> paesed unanimously. <br /> Councilman Granger asked.if the City Attorney had prepared forms for the Police <br /> Department in regard to permits for disabled veterane. City Attorney 1 <br /> McCarthy replied that he had. <br /> Councilman Granger suggested that now that it was possible to obtain metal house <br /> nwnbers a uniform numbering spstem te installed which would necessitate <br /> renumbering houses on several st reete. Councilman Granger moved, seconded ' <br /> by Councilman Britschgi, that the matter be referred to the City Manager <br /> for a report as to what streeta are improperly nLUnbered, starting from the <br /> Bayshore Highway, Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Councilman Fletcher aeked if�the City Manager could contact the manager of the , <br /> Telephone Gompany and see if something could be done to improve the <br /> telephone service, particularly around 10:00 A.M.
